Saw action as both a starter and reliever for the Seminoles during his senior campaign…finished the season making 20 appearances with nine starts…went 6-1 with a 3.55 ERA in 64.1 innings of work with 33 strikeouts…best career outing came against Florida Gulf Coast (4/7) as he worked a career-high 8.0 shutout innings in pacing FSU to a 5-0 victory…scattered seven hits and two walks while striking out six as he tossed 100 pitches against FGCU…threw well against Florida in two starts (3/13 & 4/14) earning a win at the Baseball Grounds in Jacksonville…combined to allow four runs on 14 hits in 10.1 innings against the Gators as he struck out five and did not issue a walk in either start…earned two wins against Stetson (4/21 & 5/5) allowing just one earned run on nine hits in 13.0 combined innings of work…started the ACC Championship game against NC State (5/24) as he allowed two runs on four hits in 3.1 innings of work…did not factor into the decision but was effective in leading FSU to its sixth league title in school history.


Made 14 appearances including six starts in 2014…finished his junior season with a 5-1 record and a 3.68 ERA…his five victories tied for the third most by a Seminole pitcher in 2014…registered 29 strikeouts in 36.2 innings of work  as he limited hitters to a .228 average…dominated left handed hitters allowing southpaw opponents to hit .184 against him…first 10 appearances – including two starts – allowed one run or fewer…struck out at least one batter in 11 of his 14 appearances…picked up his first win of the season when he pitched two scoreless innings, striking out two at Jacksonville (2/18)…struck out the side in an inning of hitless relief against Miami (3/2)…first start of the season came at UCF (3/12) – allowed a run on two hits as he walked one and struck out three in 4.0 innings of an 18-1 victory over the Knights…pitched a career-high six innings in back-to-back starts against Boston College (3/29) and Notre Dame (4/6), both resulting in wins…struck out a season-high seven in a 4.2 innings at Wake Forest (4/20)…last start of the season came at home against Virginia (4/27) – worked 3.1 innings before leaving the game with an injury…missed the rest of the season with a left arm strain…Florida State went 4-2 in his six starts.


Made 21 relief appearances and started one game in 2013…finished with a 3-0 record  and a 4.00 ERA…posted 23 strikeouts in 36.0 innings…struck out two in 2.0 innings of work to help sustain a shutout against Villanova (3/2)…registered three strikeouts against Boston College (3/9)…pitched 2.1 scoreless innings of relief at Maryland (3/17) to get his first win of the season…posted career-highs in innings pitched (3.1) and strikeouts (5) against Georgia Tech (3/24)…retired five of the six batters he faced against Florida (3/26) as FSU went on to win 2-1 at the Baseball Grounds in Jacksonville…picked up the win at Virginia Tech (3/30) in pitching 2.1 innings without giving up a run…pitched a perfect inning of relief at Jacksonville (4/23)…made his first career start at Stetson (5/8) and earned the win in a controlled start…struck out two without giving up a hit or a run in 2.0 innings at North Carolina (5/20)…pitched 2.0 or more innings in 12 of 22 appearances on the season…struck out at least one batter in 14 of 22 appearances…played over the summer with the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod League.


Member of the baseball team all four years at Breese Central High School, also played two years of golf and a year of soccer…missed his entire senior season after undergoing Tommy John Surgery…as junior pitched in 14 games making nine starts while throwing four complete games…posted a record of 6-3 with a 1.77 ERA in 55.1 innings pitched as a junior with 88 strikeouts and 30 walks while limiting the opposition to a .152 batting average…named team MVP, garnered All-Area and All-Cahokia Conference first team pitcher honors as a junior…sophomore year posted a 2-3 record with a 3.20 ERA in 30.2 innings of work with 44 strikeouts en route to being named Team Most Improved…earned All-Area 1A-2A Outfield Honorable Mention and first team All-Cahokia Conference honors as an outfielder following his sophomore campaign.


Son of Dennis and Cindy Holtmann…member of the 3.0 GPA Club at FSU (Spring 2012)…graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sport management in the spring of 2015…born February 5, 1993.
