Started the first five games before suffering a season ending injury to his right hip…received a medical redshirt and earned a fifth year to compete in 2014…collected hits in all five games and posted a .278 batting average…three of his five hits went for extra bases with a triple and two home runs…drove in five runs and scored five times…hit home runs against Rhode Island and Jacksonville…posted a perfect fielding percentage converting on all 16 attempts…extended hitting streak to a career-best 10 games, while extending his streak of reaching base to 12 straight games.


Appeared in 61 games making 60 starts for the Seminoles in their run to the College World Series and a top four finish…hit .256 with 54 hits, 42 RBI and 42 runs scored…20 of his 54 hits went for extra bases including 11 doubles and nine home runs…finished second on the team in home runs…led the Seminoles with 13 stolen bases in 15 attempts…posted single-season career-highs in home runs, RBI and stolen bases…tied a career-high with two three-hit games – first coming against Virginia (3/17) and the other against Arizona in an elimination game at the College World Series…connected on two grand slams – the first two of his career – with the first coming in the series finale against Virginia Tech in the first inning…the second came in the third inning of the middle series at home versus Maryland…his two-run home run was the difference in a 3-2 victory at Wake Forest…was the first Seminole in 2012 to hit multiple HRs in a game connecting on two in the series opener against Miami – finished the series hitting .429…brought home the go-ahead run in a 1-1 ballgame in the top of the 10th inning with a single to left in leading FSU to a 2-1 game one victory over Georgia Tech…stole a season-high three bases in game one at Boston College…hit .300 in the ACC Tournament en route to earning All-Tournament accolades…finished the year hitting .267 in conference play with six home runs and 24 RBI…started all four games in Omaha and hit .412 with seven hits including two doubles and one home run…drove in a team-best five runs…recorded a hit in all four games – home run came in an elimination game against Stony Brook…finished the year with 17 multi-hit games and 11 multi-RBI performances…put together a consecutive games-started streak that lasted 105 games (all at shortstop) – streak came to an end in game one against Rhode Island.


Started all 65 games at shortstop in leading FSU to the NCAA Super Regionals for the fourth year in a row…posted a .264 (61-for-231) batting average with 13 doubles, eight home runs, 40 RBI and 50 runs scored…recorded a team-high 14 hit-by-pitches and was 8-for-10 in stolen bases…opened the year with hits in his first six games and scored a run in his first eight games…tied a career-high with three hits three times…went a perfect 3-for-3 in the series finale against Hofstra, 3-for-4 in the series finale at Maryland and 3-for-4 at Virginia Tech…drove in a career-high six runs in a must-win game against Texas A&M in the NCAA Super Regionals…was 2-for-3 at the plate against the Aggies with a double, three-run home run and three runs scored…registered two hits on a pair of doubles in the game-clinching victory over Alabama in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional…finished the year with 17 multi-hit games – good for the sixth most on the team…posted a fielding percentage of .955 at shortstop committing just 12 errors in 266 fielding opportunities…played over the summer with the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod League.


Made an instant impact as the Seminoles starting second baseman through the first third of the season…appeared in 46 games and made 21 starts – 18 at second base – while batting .287 with 21 RBI…registered a single to left in his first collegiate at-bat on opening day against Georgia State…drove in multiple runs in his first three starts, slugging at a 1.300 rate…made his first start at second in the series finale against the Panthers, contributing a triple and a two-run homer…posted season-highs in at-bats (four), runs (four), hits (three) and RBI (four) in the series finale against Hofstra…started the final two games at second against the Pride and batted .500 for the series with six RBI… homered for the second time on the season in the opening game of the series against Georgia…hit .417 against the Bulldogs with four RBI and six runs scored…had three hits in the middle game of the Virginia series…started at DH in all three games against Wake Forest…doubled home a run in the ninth inning of game 2 at Clemson…made two plate appearances in the NCAA Tournament – one against Central Connecticut in the Norwich Regional opener and a second in the College World Series win over Florida…played summer ball with the Covington Lumberjacks of the Valley League.


Played three seasons of varsity baseball at Christopher Columbus High School…earned Under Armour All-America honors in 2007…named a second team Preseason All-American infielder by Louisville Slugger in 2008…help lead Christopher Columbus to a spot in the 2009 6A state championship game…fell to Alonso 4-3 in the finals…an Honor Roll student…drafted in the 46th round by the Houston Astros in the 2009 MLB Draft.
