Hit .260 with a career-high 11 home runs and 51 RBI in 215 at-bats…drew 29 walks, was hit by three pitches and scored 42 runs…his 11 home runs were third-most on the team, behind Mat Nelson’s 23 and Elijah Cabell’s 15…paired with those two on back-to-back-to-back home runs against Wake Forest on March 28, the first time since 2010 that FSU had done so…national and ACC player of the week in mid-March after going 11-for-20 with 12 RBI, nine runs, three doubles and three home runs in FSU’s four-game sweep of No. 5 Florida and No. 6 Miami…had back-to-back five-RBI games, tied for the most by a Seminole in 2021, at No. 18 Virginia Tech and No. 5 Florida…hit a pair of home runs against the Gators, a three-run HR in the first inning and a two-run blast in the sixth in FSU’s 10-2 victory…his first home run of the season was a ninth-inning grand slam against the Hokies…at Florida on April 13, had all three of FSU’s hits and knocked in his 100th career RBI…had a team-high three outfield assists on the season, against Pitt, Georgia Tech and Troy…started the final 29 games of 2021 and has made 128 career starts, third-most on the team…scored a career-high four runs at Miami on March 19, going 3-for-5 with two RBI and two doubles…drew three walks against Pitt on February 28 to tie a career high.


Led FSU with a .324 batting average and 22 hits while starting all 17 games…hit four doubles, a triple and scored 10 runs with a .439 on-base percentage…did not commit an error in the field…drew 14 walks…tied a career high with four hits against No. 3 Texas Tech and had seven total in the double header against FAU and the Red Raiders…drew three walks the next day against Texas Tech, a career high…season-high four RBI against the Owls…made 13 of 17 starts in right field and the other four as the designated hitter…best defensive play of the year came in the first inning at No. 1 Florida, when he robbed a game-tying home run en route to a 2-0 FSU victory…had FSU’s second outfield assist of the season in the finale against Illinois State, throwing out the batter at third base…played summer ball with the Orlando Scorpions in the Florida Collegiate Summer League.

FRESHMAN (2019):

Led FSU’s vaunted freshman class with a .315 average in 63 games, with 68 hits, 17 doubles and four home runs…knocked in 54 runs and scored 34 runs…started 57 games…tallied an FSU season-best six RBI against Youngstown State en route to earning ACC Player of the Week honors, the first FSU freshman to do so since DJ Stewart in 2013…had a season-high four hits against the Penguins…also had four hits against Wake Forest on April 28, as well as a season-high three runs scored against the Demon Deacons…earned ACC All-Freshman honors and national Freshman All-America recognition from Collegiate Baseball, NCBWA and Perfect Game…played summer ball with the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod League.


Rated No. 390 among Baseball America’s top 500 prospects in 2018…ranked the No. 186 overall player and No. 35 outfielder by Perfect Game…No. 35 overall and No. 6 outfielder in Florida by Perfect Game…taken in the 37th Round by the Miami Marlins in the 2018 MLB Draft…hit .453 with four home runs, 24 RBI, seven doubles, two triples and a .695 slugging percentage as a senior…on the mound, pitched 22.1 innings, posting a 0.94 earned run average, 30 strikeouts, 10 walks and 14 hits allowed…led Jefferson to the 2018 6A state championship…earned Florida 6A all-state team honors; Tampa Bay Times’ All-Tampa and All-Hillsborough County teams; and preseason All-America honors from Rawlings/Perfect Game…parents are Robert and Stephanie Martin…majoring in social science…born August 17, 1999.
