Hit .310 over 58 at-bats, with 18 hits, 17 runs scored, 16 walks drawn and 13 RBI…was hit by four pitches and reached base at a .481 clip…second on the team in batting average and on-base percentage…appeared in all 17 games, with 15 starts (9 at DH, 6 at third base)…hit five doubles and had one of FSU’s two triples on the season…lined a one-out RBI single in the 11th inning against Mercer for FSU’s 9-8, walk-off win…scored at least one run in 14 different games, including three against FAU on February 29…went 2-for-3 with two RBI, a double, triple and two walks drawn, with his only stolen base of the season, against the Owls…had a season-high three hits against Cincinnati on February 22 and vs. No. 3 Texas Tech on February 29…had multiple-RBI games against Niagara (twice), FAU and Mercer…tallied FSU’s first hit and scored the Noles first run of the season on Opening Day against Niagara…season-high three walks vs. Cincinnati on February 23…ranked 22nd nationally with 16 walks drawn.
Graduated from Chiles High School in Tallahassee…earned A/B honor roll as a freshman and sophomore and was on the A honor roll as a junior…enrolled at Florida State in January 2020 to add depth in the Seminole infield…hit .330 with 30 walks and just four strikeouts as a sophomore…hit .470 with 27 hits and 12 doubles as a junior…parents are Mike Martin, Jr. and Litzie Martin…grandfather is longtime FSU head baseball coach Mike Martin…brother T.J….majoring in criminology…born on December 10, 2001.
