Appeared in four games as a catcher, with a pair of starts behind the plate…hit 2-for-6 with an RBI, run scored and double, all against FAU on February 29…made five appearances on the mound, allowing one earned run in 2.0 innings pitched…struck out the final batter of the series at No. 12 Duke to cap FSU’s 10-2 win…made his FSU debut on the bump against Niagara on February 15…played summer ball with the Sanford River Rats in the Florida Collegiate Summer League.

Graduated from TNXL Baseball Academy in Kissimmee, Florida…ranked the No. 41 catcher in the state of Florida by Perfect Game…likes to play football, water ski and wakeboard…parents are Doug and Leigh Kirkland…brother Cooper and sister Shelby…grandfather played football at Auburn and uncle played baseball at South Alabama…majoring in criminology…born on December 3, 2000.
