Redshirt Junior (2017):

Was named to the CCSA All-Tournament Team…earned CCSA Pair of the Week Honors with Francesca Goncalves twice (March 21 & April 18) …helped lead Florida State to their second consecutive NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship…finished the season with a 24-10 record…had four partners during the 2017 season, but played a majority of the time with Francesca Goncalves… the pair went 15-4 together and earned CCSA Pair of the Week honors twice… the duo started off 6-0 and then won seven in a row after their first loss…during this 13-1 stretch Goncalves defeated Arizona, USC (2x), Georgia State, Stetson, Grand Canyon, FIU, Pepperdine and South Carolina…Horton took down 17 ranked opponents during her redshirt junior season…11 of those ranked wins came with Goncalves as her partner…while partnering with Eva Torruella Horton went 2-1 and took down two ranked opponents Stetson (March 4) and Long Beach State (March 11)…while paired with Molly McBain, Horton went 3-4…Horton and McBain were able to take down Pepperdine (March 12) in Manhattan Beach, Calif. …while partnered with Nikki Esposito, Horton was able to achieve a 4-1 record including three wins over ranked teams… during the postseason Horton went 5-3 including a 4-1 record during the CCSA Championship and CCSA All-Tournament Team honors… went 1-2 in the NCAA tournament with a win over UCLA’s Isabelle Carey and Jordan Anderson 21-18, 21-18.


Played in 12 total matches for Florida State during her redshirt sophomore campaign including eight dual-matches … finished the season with an 8-1 record, 4-1 in dual-match competition … helped lead FSU to the inaugural NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships and a national runner-up finish in Gulf Shores, Ala. … played with Annie Montgomery at the No. 4 spot during the NCAA Tournament and went 1-1 with three matches resulting in a ‘DNF’ … recorded a win in straight sets against Hawaii (May 6), while suffering a straight set loss to USC (May 7) … did not finish matches against Stetson, UCLA and Southern Cal in the national championship match … made her first appearance of the season at the Siesta Key Tournament picking up wins at the No. 4 and 5 positions against FAU and UNC Wilmington … partnered with Nikki Esposito and pulled out a three-set victory against FAU (April 10) at the fifth position … won in straight sets with Brooke Kuhlman against UNC Wilmington (April 10) at the fourth spot … also partnered with Esposito for a 21-18, 21-8 victory over Tulane at No. 5 in Tallahassee … finished the season 2-1 at No. 4 and 2-0 at No. 5 … captured the Pairs Bracket Play competition at the Siesta Key Tournament with Kuhlman going a perfect 4-0 … defeated fellow teammates Milica Kubura and Cecilie Woie in the finals, 21-16.


Appeared in five matches, all in tournaments, and posted a 4-1 record … paired with fellow indoor player Cecilie Woie for four matches and once with Kayla Joyce … was a perfect 4-0 with Woie at the FSU Pairs Tournament … won the first three matches all in straight sets while surviving a three-set match against Georgia State’s Rohan/Wilson (23-21, 19-21, 15-8).

Indoor Career:

Had an illustrious three year career on the oourt for the Florida State indoor volleyball team… began her career at the University of Ohio… during the 2016 season she became the first Florida State volleyball player to have 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career… was named first team All-ACC in 2016.


Led the Wayne Memorial Zebras to two-consecutive district tournament championship…ranked No. 95 on’s Senior Ace list … played six positions in high school … in three years with Premier Volleyball Club, led her team to back-to-back top-five finishes at the AAU Championships, earning All-America honors.


Daughter of Laura and David Horton … majoring in sport management … born March 8, 1995.
