Finished her career ranked nine all time at FSU with 101 win. She became the first Seminole to record 100 dual match wins in her career.


Finished the 2021 season with a 26-10 record, including a 17-9 record on court one, a 2-1 record on court two and a perfect 7-0 record on court three… was named to the CCSA All-Tournament Team, the NCAA All-Tournament team and was named an AVCA Second Team All-American with Alaina Chacon… McBain became the first Seminole to win 100 career dual matches with her 21-13, 21-14 win on court three against No. 6 Stanford in the first round of the NCAA Tournament… was 19-10 on the season with Chacon, including a 1-9 record on court one and a 2-1 record on court two… went a perfect 7-0 with Payton Caffrey as the pair teamed up for the final three weeks of the season… McBain and Caffrey earned two wins over No. 7 TCU, two wins over No. 4 LSU and wins over No. 6 Stanford and No. 2 USC… McBain went 17-9 vs. ranked teams in 2021 with 10 of those ranked wins against teams in the top-10.

Senior (2020):

Finished 2020 with a perfect 13-0 record, with all of her matches on court one with Alaina Chacon…was one of six individuals that finished the season undefeated with more than 10 matches played…earned seven wins against ranked teams, including wins over No. 9 Stetson, No. 7 Cal Poly, No. 10 Grand Canyon and No. 4 USC… was named the CCSA Pair of the Week and the AVCA National Pair of the Week on March 4th after a perfect 4-0 weekend with three ranked wins… McBain and Chacon earned a 21-19, 21-17 win over No. 10 Grand Canyon, a 21-16, 21-15 win over No. 17 South Carolina, a 21-6, 21-9 win over College of Charleston and a 19-21, 21-17, 15-10 win over No. 4 USC…did not allow her opponent to score over 10 points in a set six times with Chacon…they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 points per set in 13 matches on court one.

JUNIOR (2019):

Finished 2019 with the second highest winning percentage on the team (.824) and was tied for third on the team in dual wins with a 28-6 record… she moved into first all-time in program history in wins on court four with 34 and now places in the top-15 in career wins at Florida State…was a constant force in the lineup on courts two, three and four… went 1-1 on court two, 12-4 on court three and 15-1 on court four… earned 21 wins over ranked opponents including a win over No. 2 USC’s Joy Dennis and Cammie Dorn on court two… dominated the competition during the CCSA Championship winning all five matches in straight sets on court four, earning them CCSA Pair of the Tournament…


Finished the season with a .723 winning percentage, one of the highest on the team … Established her spot in the starting lineup with four wins in the team’s opening weekend at the Stetson Spring Fling, going 2-0 with both Eva Torruella and Madison Fitzpatrick in the No. 5 position … With Fitzpatrick, saw a 10-3 record at No. 5 with a 6-0 start as a pair … The two earned a win in FSU’s defeat over Hawaii in California, and picked up big wins over two different Pepperdine pairs … They held Jacksonville’s Marchand/Beefus to only eight points in the second set … With Alaina Chacon at the No. 4 position, defeated TCU’s Rogers/Arellano in straight sets … Played a majority of the season paired up with Brooke Kuhlman at the No. 4 position … the two went 15-3 (fifth-best on the team), picking up eight ranked wins and clinching four matches for the Seminoles … The pair lost their first match against UCLA’s Zappia/May, but went on to win the next eight, contributing to eight FSU wins … Kuhlman/McBain earned ranked wins over FIU, Grand Canyon, and Houston Baptist in that stretch, clinching the win over FIU … After falling to LSU’s Davenport/Allen, the pair went on another winning streak, picking up six straight wins, five of which came at the CCSA Championship … The pair was leading the match in the No. 4 position against LSU’s Davenport/Allen in the CCSA Championship Finals before the win was clinched at No. 5 … at the NCAA Tournament, the two edged out two close redemption wins over UCLA’s Zappia/May, including a win in the National Championship match.

FRESHMAN (2017):

Played in 13 matches in her first season… recorded a 6-7 record during her freshman campaign… went 3-5 at the No. 4 position and 3-2 at the No. 5 position…made her debut at the No. 5 position against LSU in the first match of the season… partnered with Katie Horton the most during her freshman season and came away with a 3-4 record with her… the duo defeated Pepperdine (March 12) in three sets… while partnered with Eva Torruella, McBain went 2-1… the pair was able to defeat Long Beach State (March 11) in three sets during the East Meets West Invitational…McBain defeated four ranked teams during her freshman campaign; Stetson (March 4), Long Beach State (March 11), Pepperdine (March 12) and South Carolina (March 26).

High School:

Was named MVP of her High School team for the 2015/2016 season…helped her team place fifth at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) Championships.


Was a part of the Phoenix Volleyball Club for both indoor and beach volleyball…placed fifth at the beach volleyball AAU West Coast Championships, the AAU Junior Olympics, and the HP championships in 2016…was a beach volleyball U-16 and U-18 Provincial Gold Medalist…was the U-16 and U-18 beach volleyball National Champion from 2014-2016…was a part of the indoor volleyball U-16 National Bronze Medalling team in 2015…was put on the Indoor Volleyball National All-Star Team in 2015.


Daughter of Andrew and Denise McBain…majoring in Dietetics…her father, Andrew, played in the NHL for 13 years with four different teams…born May 1, 1998.
