Did not play her junior season due to injury
In her first season of competition, she went 15-7 with a 13-5 dual match record… earned six wins over ranked opponents… became a constant force in the lineup towards the end of the season…started the season off on court five with three different partners… Starting against No. 8 FIU (March 30) she paired up with Brooke Kuhlman for the rest of the season… the duo went 9-3 in dual matches and 11-5 overall… she went 3-1 in the CCSA Championship…
Born on April 22, 1999 … daughter of Brian and Karrie Poppinga … has one sister, Lexi … majoring in Sports Management … also played basketball and soccer … mother, Karrie, played professional indoor volleyball in Germany, then played on FIVB and AVP Tours; father, Brian played professional indoor volleyball in Holland; both were All-Americans at the University of Hawaii and now coach for Ali’i Volleyball.
