SENIOR (20210:

Played in one exhibition match during the 2021 season.

JUNIOR (2020):

Did not compete in her junior season that was cut short due to the season ending because of the Coronavirus.


Played in two exhibition matches with Bailey Reardon and Lexi McKeown, losing both of them to Tampa and South Carolina.

FRESHMAN (2018):

Played in a handful of exhibition matches with partner Bailey Reardon in her first season at Florida State, picking up wins against FIU and New Orleans.


Diaz, a 5-5 libero, was a four-year varsity letterwinner and two-time captain at Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale. A Wendy’s Heisman Award nominee, she was also recognized as honorable mention All-County in each of her first three seasons (2012-15) in indoor prep volleyball.

Under the direction of head coach Steve Grotowski, she enjoyed a solid beach volleyball career that includes a spot on the USA Volleyball Junior Beach A2 team (2016) and an appearance in the Florida Beach High Performance All-Star Championships (2013). The following season she was one of two players selected to represent the state of Florida in the Beach HP National Championship in 2014-15.

Diaz enjoyed a solid 2016 season, earning six first place 18U division tournament titles, a second-place showing at the NVL 18U RIZE Junior National Championships Global Invitational and fifth-place outing at the West Coast AAU Junior Olympic Games National Beach Championship. Her outing at the NVL 18U National Championship earned Diaz the Soul Award.

On the indoor club circuit she played for the Boomers Volleyball Academy Elite Travel Team 13-17U, serving as team captain for 13U-16U. She guided her team to a third place finish in the American Division in the Junior National Championships in 2015 while earning All-Tournament honors. Diaz was also named to the All-American team at the AAU National Champions in 2015.

Diaz also made an impression in the classroom, earning a spot on the Principal’s Honor Roll which honors students with a GPA of 4.0 or higher. She was a member of the National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society and National Society of High School Scholars.


Born on April 10, 1999… daughter of Ariel and Rosie Diaz… has one sister, Brianna… majoring in Pre-Med (Clinical Professions).
