Finished her junior season with a 10-3 record… started the season paired with Alice Zeimann and went 8-3 together on court two…the duo won four matches against ranked opponents, including wins over No. 16 TCU (21-14, 21-15), No. 16 South Carolina (22-20, 24-22), No. 10 Grand Canyon (15-21, 22-20, 16-14) and No. 17 South Carolina (21-16, 24-22)…played her last two matches of the season on court two with Maddie Anderson…the pairing went 2-0 with wins over UNCW and UNF.
Made a big impact in her second season playing, going 27-15 with a majority of her matches on court one… played the whole season Alaina Chacon, winning 23 dual matches and four tournament matches… Fitzpatrick and Chacon’s 27 wins together place them tied for eighth for the most wins by a Seminole pair in a season… the pair went 14-7 on court one, 8-5 on court two and 1-0 on court three… her 14 wins on court one in one season places her tied for sixth in all-time wins on court one…earned CCSA Pair of the Week twice… the first time came on March 6th after a 4-0 weekend against UAB, No. 4 LSU, No. 10 South Carolina and No. 17 FAU on court two… earned her second CCSA Pair of the Week honor after going 3-0 at home against Austin Peay, No. 15 Arizona and No. 10 Stetson, this performance also earned Fitzpatrick/Chacon AVCA/CollegeBeachVB.com pair of the week… her 19-9 regular season record helper her earn first-team All-CCSA…
Saw a 14-5 record in her first season as a Seminole, placing her in the top-30 most dual match wins in program history … Spent a majority of the season paired with Molly McBain … The pair saw a 10-3 record at the No. 5 position with a 6-0 start as a pair … The two earned a win in FSU’s defeat over Hawaii in California, and picked up big wins over two different Pepperdine pairs (earning FSU’s only point in both of those matches) … They held Jacksonville’s Marchand/Beefus to only eight points in the second set … Earned a 4-2 record with Francesca Goncalves, as the pair forced UCLA to three sets at the end of March and then earned a win over Jacksonville State’s Clingman/Krutsinger in April, holding the Gamecocks to just 7 points in the first set … Fitzpatrick and Goncalves came back into the lineup at No. 5 for the NCAA Championship in Gulf Shores, where they picked up three wins against USC’s Belton/Kaiser, UCLA’s Carey/Muret and Hawaii’s Dreeuws/Zalopany, sending the Seminoles to the championship match … Clinched the team’s dramatic 3-2 win against Hawaii in the Semifinal match, keeping FSU in the winner’s bracket … Played three sets in the NCAA Championship match.
Before starting her freshman year at FSU, Fitzpatrick picked up a number of impressive finishes in 2017, winning the 18U West Coast AAU Junior Olympic Games and placing second at the BVCA Championships. She was also one of six players in the country to be named to the 2017 AVCA High School Beach All-America Team.
Fitzpatrick earned three top five finishes on the beach volleyball circuit in 2016 and was the lone representative for the Seminoles on the USA Volleyball A1 Youth Beach U19 National Team. Among her top beach volleyball outings was a second place showing, among 65 teams participating, in the 18U Junior Olympics. At the AAU Nationals, with 90 teams involved at the event, she earned a third place finish. She also earned a fourth place showing at the HP U19 and was an AVP participant, where she finished ninth place.
The 2015 All-Big Bend Offensive Player of the Year for beach volleyball, she reached the podium with a second place at the U19 High Performance (HP) Championships (2015) after placing fifth of 43 teams in the U17 HP Championships (2014).
She ended her four-year prep indoor volleyball career with 1,061 kills (3.28 kills/set), 765 digs (2.36 digs/set), 138 service aces, 104 blocks and a .338 hitting percentage.
A 5-11 outside hitter at Lincoln High School, she capped off the 2016 indoor campaign with single-season highs in kills (350), kills per set (4.07), hitting percentage (.371), digs (320), service aces (41) and total blocks (50). It marked the second time in as many seasons that she recorded at least 300 kills and 200 digs, after posting 317 kills (3.56 kills/set) and 200 digs (2.24 digs/set) in her junior season.
In 2016, she was the primary offensive weapon for head coach Katie Johnson’s Lincoln High School unit that finished 21-5 overall and reached the second round of the 7A Florida State Volleyball State playoffs.
As a senior, Fitzpatrick was recognized as the Wendy’s Heisman winner for Lincoln High School and was named to the AVCA Under Armour All-American Watch List. An AVCA All-Star honoree for the Leon County District in 2016, she was also recognized as First Team All-Big Bend (2015), a scholar athlete award recipient (2015-16), Most Valuable Player (2015) and a three-time captain for Lincoln High School indoor volleyball.
She capped off her final season at Lincoln High School by recording 20 double figure kill outings and 14 double doubles. Her best offensive performance of the season came in back-to-back five-set matches against Cardinal Mooney (Sept. 16) and Sarasota (Sept. 17), where she finished with 27 kills. The match against Cardinal Mooney also included 22 digs, one of two 20-dig outings for Fitzpatrick on the season, who capped off a five-set win over Sneads with a career-high 24 digs.
