Senior (2017):

 Helped lead Florida State to their second straight NCCA Beach Volleyball Championship…finished her senior season with 12-11 record…she played most of her matches, 10, at the No. 3 position… Sanchez went 7-3 at the No. 3 position, with all of those matches coming with Macy Jerger as her partner…Sierra also played at the No. 1, 2 and 4 positions… she went 3-5 at the No. 1 position, 1-2 at the No. 2 position and 1-1 at the No. 4 position… Sanchez played the last nine matches of her career with Macy Jerger at the No. 3 position during the CCSA and NCAA Championship…The duo went 5-1 at the CCSA Championship, including a 21-9, 21-9 straight set win over FIU in the championship match… Sanchez went 1-2 during the NCAA Championship, beating South Carolina 21-14, 17-21, 15-13… Sanchez took down 10 ranked opponents during the 2017 season including Stetson (March 4, March 26), Long beach State (March 11),  Arizona (March 17), FIU (April 22, April 23), FAU (April 22), South Carolina (March 26, May 5)

JUNIOR (2016):

Led FSU to the inaugural NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships and a national runner-up finish in Gulf Shores, Ala. … finished her junior campaign posting an overall and dual-match record of 27-5 … partnered with Vanessa Freire for all 32 matches going 24-5 at the No. 3 position, while also playing at No. 2 (1-0) and No. 4 (2-0) spots on the year … won their first 12 matches together to open the 2016 season … of their 27 victories, 13 clinched the match for the Seminoles, a team-high, including a three-set thriller against UCLA in the NCAA Championship semifinals … went 18-4 against ranked foes with 11 of those victories coming against schools ranked in the top 10 … defeated Southern Cal’s Nicolette Martin and Allie Wheeler twice in 2016, handing the Trojan duo two of their four dual-match losses on the year … their first win against Martin/Wheeler in Los Angeles (March 11) – a hard fought three-set victory – snapped USC’s 19-game home win streak … earned CCSA Pair of the Week honors with Freire after helping FSU to four wins to open the season on the West Coast including two match clinching victories…went a perfect 12-0 against CCSA foes as 11 of the 12 matches were determined in straight sets while five clinched the team win … finished the CCSA Tournament a perfect 5-0 en route to earning All-Tournament team honors … went 3-2 at the NCAA Championship with Freire to lead all Seminole pairs in wins in Gulf Shores … posted a 7-1 mark in three-set matches.


Went 16-9 on the year including 7-4 in dual match play … saw action on courts 2 and 3 … paired with Sarah Wickstrom and Blyss Harkness throughout the season … went 1-0 with Harkness to defeat teammates Meghan Conway and Wickstrom in exhibition play … finished the season paired with Wickstrom and posted a 15-9 record … went 4-2 at the Gamecock Invitational playing at the No. 2 position … posted three consecutive, straight set victories over ULM and LSU (April 7) and FAU (April 10) at the No. 3 position … went 2-1 on day one of the Fiesta on Siesta Key Tournament … made it to the semi-finals of bracket play on Day 2 before falling to teammates Victoria Paranagua and Kristina Pellitteri (21-19, 21-14) … went 4-1 overall during the FSU Pairs Tournament … went 2-1 on Day 1, taking down the No. 1 pairs from Eckerd College and UAB before falling to Georgia State … helped FSU earn the team cup on Day 2 by sweeping the Silver Division 2-0 … played at the No. 3 position in both matches with Sanchez at the AVCA National Championships in Gulf Shores, Ala. … dropped their opening round match to No. 3 FIU (May 1) in two grueling sets (21-23, 20-22) … followed with a straight set loss (18-21, 15-21) in the consolation round to No. 2 Hawaii (May 1) … helped the Seminoles to a tie for seventh place at the national championship tournament.

FRESHMAN (2014):

Paired with fellow freshman Hailey Luke to go 14-5 playing out of the No. 5 spot … finished 2-0 with Sarah Wickstrom and 0-3 playing with Lexy Ryan … first played with Luke on March 14 against Loyola Marymount, beating the Lions in straight sets 21-6, 21-16 … Sanchez’s consistent play throughout the season helped her and Luke lock up the No. 5 spot during the AVCA National Championships in Gulf Shorts, Ala. … the pair went 2-3 during the event, beating Stetson and FIU, while falling twice to eventual national champion Pepperdine … won both matches with Sarah Wickstrom on March 8 at St. Augustine Beach, defeating FIU and Louisiana-Monroe in her first action as a Seminole … lost all three matches with Lexy Ryan on March 22 at Florida Gulf State College, with all three losses coming against other Seminole tandems (twice to Fatma Yildirim and Kayla Joyce, once to Annie Montgomery and Julia Thompson).


Led Valencia (Calif.) High School to first-ever Southern California High School Beach Volleyball championship in May 2012 … named to the USA Beach Volleyball Under-19 A1 squad in 2012 and 2013 … helped lead Valencia to second-place finish in state championship in 2013 … undefeated in both seasons as a sand volleyball player with Valencia in 2012 and 2013 … also played indoor volleyball for the Vikings under her father, Ray Sanchez … named All-Tournament at Nike Tournament of Champions in October 2012 … named All-Foothill League First Team in 2012, Second Team in 2011 and honorable mention in 2010 … tallied 355 kills, 329 digs and 43 blocks in indoor volleyball in 2012 … club teams competed on were Synergy, Lava North and Lava South … carried a 4.17 cumulative GPA in high school and was named to the honor roll in eight semesters.
