JUNIOR (2017):

Earned CCSA Tournament MVP…was selected at the CCSA Pair of the Week with partner Macy Jerger (March 14) … led Florida State to its second straight NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship…led the team in wins with a 30-8 record…played 24 of her 38 matches at the No. 3 position and another 13 at the No. 2 position…at the No. 3 position Paranagua played most of her matches with partner Macy Jerger…the pair went 19-7 together including wins over LSU, Stetson, Long Beach State, Pepperdine, UCLA, USC, Hawaii, South Carolina, FIU and Grand Canyon…won her first 10 matches of the season including eight wins over ranked teams and four teams in the Top-5…played 12 matches with Vanessa Freire as her partner…the duo went 11-1 as a pair and record CCSA Tournament MVP honors…the pair won their first eight matches together including wins over Arizona, South Carolina and FIU twice…in their eight game winning streak Paranagua and Freire outscored their opponent 349-202, including seven straight set wins…Paranagua along with Freire clinched the CCSA Championship match with a win over FIU 21-16, 21-19 in a down pour…22 of her 30 wins came against ranked opponents with her highest ranked win coming against USC on March 17…the pair went 3-1 at the NCAA Championship… they beat South Carolina (Shannon Williams/Ali Denny), UCLA (Kamila Tan/Madi Yeomans) and revenged their earlier loss in the tournament to Hawaii (Ka’iwi Schucht/Nikki Taylor).


Recorded first team All-CCSA honors… led FSU to the inaugural NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships and a national runner-up finish in Gulf Shores, Ala. … partnered with Pellitteri for all 35 matches – all but one of those matches coming at the No. 2 position … only Seminole pair to play in every match in 2016 … finished the season with a 29-3 dual-match record with three matches resulting in a ‘DNF’ – one at the CCSA Championship and two at the NCAA Championship…tied for the team lead in wins with Vanessa Freire and Pellitteri … posted victories over 16 ranked teams including eight schools ranked in the Top 10 … opened the season with 14 straight match victories as 13 matches were determined in straight sets … earned CCSA Pair of the Week honors following the second week of competition after posting wins on the West Coast against Long Beach State (March 9), Cal State Northridge & UCLA (March 10) and Loyola Marymount & Southern Cal (March 11) … pulled out a three-set victory against Southern California’s Sophie Bukovec and Alexa Strange at the No. 2 spot to help the Seminoles snap the Trojans’ 19-game home match winning streak … went 10-1 at the No. 2 spot against CCSA conference foes including 4-0 at the conference tournament en route to earning all-conference honors … all 11 matches during CCSA play were decided in straight sets … defeated Texas A&M CC’s Briana Brink and Kate Klepetka in straight sets in her lone match at the No. 1 position…finished the year 2-0 in three-set matches … recorded 54 career wins with Pellitteri good for the third most victories by an FSU pairs’ team in school history.

FRESHMAN (2015):

Paired with Kristina Pellitteri all season to post a 25-10 record … went 13-6 in dual match play and 4-3 against ranked teams … tied for the most overall wins on the team…played on courts 1, 2, 3 and 4 throughout the season … Paranagua and Pellitteri are the only tandem to play every match of the season together … posted a seven-game win streak at the No. 4 position out in California which included straight set wins over Long Beach State, TCU, Loyola Marymount and Southern Cal … pulled out a tight three-set victory over Pepperdine’s Asprey/Racich (21-15, 19-21, 16-14) to pick up FSU’s lone team point of the match … went 5-1 at the No. 1 position at the Gamecock Invitational … won the Silver Bracket at the Fiesta on Siesta Key Tournament defeating South Carolina’s No. 1 pair Frome/Mannisto (21-9, 21-17) … lost to Georgia State’s No. 1 pair Button/Olivova (22-20, 21-14) in day 1 of the FSU Pairs Tournament, but rallied the next day to clinch the top spots in the Gold Division … played at the No. 2 position in both matches with Pellitteri at the AVCA National Championships in Gulf Shores, Ala. … dropped their opening round match to No. 3 FIU (May 1) in a tough three sets (23-21, 15-21, 9-15) … followed with a straight set loss (19-21, 19-21) in the consolation round to No. 2 Hawaii (May 1) … helped the Seminoles to a tie for seventh place at the national tournament.


Captured first-place at the USA Volleyball High Performance U-21 Championship with partner Julia Mannisto … named Anderson High School Female Athlete of the Year in 2014 … was a two-sport varsity athlete as she also was a member of the swimming team … selected to the All-District First-Team her sophomore, junior and senior years…made the All-Region team her senior year … was the District Most Valuable Hitter in her senior year…won the Most Valuable Player Award on the Anderson High School volleyball team in both her junior and senior seasons … was the team leader in kills her sophomore, junior and senior year…named Team Offensive Player of the Year her sophomore year … participated at the USAV Transition Week U21 in Hermosa Beach, Calif…earned a bid to the International Division at the USA Volleyball Junior National Championships by placing second in the U18 division at the Houston Open in 2013 … played in the USA Volleyball Junior Beach Tour Championships in 2013 … participated in the USA Volleyball Girls’ A1/A2 Youth Holiday High Performance Camp in Chula Vista, Calif. in December of 2012 … placed first place at the AAU Jr. Olympic Qualifier Texas Volleyball Tour in 2014 in San Antonio, Texas and at AAU Jr. Olympic Qualifier Texas Volleyball Tour in 2013 in Austin, Texas … school record holder for the 100 Freestyle, and 200 Freestyle Relay in swimming … selected All-State for the 50 Freestyle as a senior and 200 Freestyle Relay her junior and senior seasons … played for the Austin Junior and the TVT and Project Serve volleyball clubs … member of the Anderson High School Leadership Council … made the Academic All-District Team all four years for volleyball and swimming.


Daughter of Marjorie and Helio Paranagua … a dual citizen of the United States and Brazil … bilingual and can speak English and Portuguese … has two older brothers … works with and helped create the 2017 Floirda State beach volleyball hype video… loves hiking, snowboarding, traveling among many outdoor activities … majoring in sport management … born on October 28, 1995.
