Cross Country: Was a top-three finisher on the team in four of six meets…finished seventh overall at the Virginia Tech Alumni Invitational with an 8k time of 24:57.0…posted a breakthrough performance at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational, finishing second among Noles and 41st overall in a 5-mile best of 24:10.41…was No. 5 finisher and part of a key pack helping Noles to a sixth-place finish at Under Armour Pre-Nationals…collected All-ACC honors at the ACC Championships, placing 17th overall – a 47-place improvement from 2018 in 24:51.1…lone appearance outside the FSU top-five came at South Region Championships where he placed 37th overall, despite a 10k best (31:27.1)…responded with his best performance on the biggest stage by finished 71st at the NCAA Championships (31:41.1). Indoor: Injury-shortened season included just one performance…ran 8:53.16 3000 at the Indiana Relays.
Cross Country: Came out blazing in his freshman debut, placing third on the team at Boston University and the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational…was 44th overall at Notre Dame, covering the 5-mile course in 24:50.2…recorded his 8k personal-best time at the ACC Championships, placing 64th in 24:57.1…finished 21st overall – fourth among Noles – at the South Region Championships, earning All-Region honors…ran 31:31.0 over 10k at Wisconsin as the Noles’ No. 2 man at the NCAA Championships. Indoor: did not compete on the track…placed 20th at the USATF U20 Cross Country Championships on FSU’s home course. Outdoor: redshirted but competed unattached in several meets…won the 5000 (14:51.07) at the FSU Relays…lowered his 5000 PB to 14:28.07 in a ninth-place finish at Florida Relays…placed 12th in the 10,000 at the Penn Relays (30:42.88)…finished sixth in the 10,000 at the USATF U20 Championships.
As a senior won the 2A state 1600m title in a personal-best 4:12.70 after placing third in the 3200…ran his 3200 PB (9:05.71) at the FSU Relays in March 2018…was 2A state cross country runner-up in a 5k PB 15:23.02 at FSU’s Apalachee Regional Park course…a two-time cross country and 3200 region champion…missed his entire sophomore season due to injury…outstanding student who graduated with high honors while also logging more than 100 hours of community service…majoring in sport management at FSU…is the son of Jim and Olga Stafford…born June 3, 2000.
