Senior Season (2016-17):

  • Played in one event, finishing 12-over at the SunTrust Gator Invitational.
  • Tied for 58th at the Gator Invite, shooting an even-par 70 in his final round.

Junior Season (2015-16):

• Played in one event as a junior, tying for 60th at the Seminole Intercollegiate.
• Shot a 10-over 226 (76-77-73) at the Seminole Intercollegiate.

Sophomore Season (2014-15):

•    Participated in nine tournaments and finished the year with a 73.59 stroke average, improving by over three strokes from his freshman campaign.
•    Recorded five rounds in the 60s, highlighted by a career-best 66 in the first round of the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational at Lake Nona Golf Club (Oct. 19-21, 2014).
•    His career-best round was also 6-under, one of the lower rounds vs. par in the program’s history.
•    Finished a career-best tied for fourth at the Seminole Intercollegiate at Southwood Golf Club (March 13-15, 2015).
•    Finished nine-under on the home course with a total score of 207, shooting 68 in the first and third rounds.
•    Carded even-par and totaled a score of 216, including a first-round 69, while tying for 14th at the Gary Koch Invitational at Gastonia Country Club (April 6-7, 2015).
•    Tied for 15th when he finished 3-over and totaled 213 at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate at Old Overton Golf Club (Oct. 6-7, 2014).
•    Shot a 69 in the second round of the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate.

Freshman Season (2013-14):

•    Finished the year with a 76.92 stroke average.
•    Played in four tournaments.
•    Best finish was at the Crooked Stick Intercollegiate where he finished tied for 25th.
•    Placed in a tie for 37th at the Brickyard Collegiate Championship in his first showing.

Before Florida State:

  • Winner of three tournaments in 2012: the AJGA Woodward Video Junior, the AJGA Golf Pride Junior Classic (by an impressive five shots) and the US Junior Amateur qualifier in New Jersey.
  • Alex was number three in Florida and No. 28 in the nation.
  • Made the New Jersey All-State team his freshman through junior seasons before moving to St. Augustine for his senior season.


Born Nov. 18, 1994…son of Marissa and Steve Alex…sister Marina Alex played golf at Vanderbilt…named to the honor roll at Wayne Hills High School in New Jersey for his freshman through junior years before transferring to the St. John’s Virtual School in Florida for his senior season…member of the National Honor Society
