Wrapped up her career as one of the best pitchers to ever play for Florida State…finished with a 28-7 record, 1.52 ERA with 232 strikeouts in 211.1 innings…she allowed 64 runs (46 earned), 123 hits and 86 walks as teams batted .163 against her…became the third Seminole in history, joining Shamalene Wilson (1994-96) and Veronica Wootson (2004, 06-07), to earn three NFCA All-America accolades in a career as she was named to the Third Team…named the 2015 Senior CLASS Award winner, given to a student-athlete that excels in the areas of the classroom, character, community and competition…drafted in the first round by the Chicago Bandits with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2015 National Pro Fastpitch Draft…earned All-ACC First Team and ACC Pitcher of the Year honors for the second-straight season…became Florida State’s career wins leader on May 3 as she recorded her 108th victory in a 15-1 win at North Florida…finished her career in the FSU all-time top five of four different categories – wins (109 – 1st), appearances (170 – 2nd), strikeouts (917 – 3rd) and saves (7 – 4th)…named ACC Pitcher of the Week four times in 2015 – February 9, March 2, March 9 and April 20…opened the season with 12 strikeouts in a complete-game victory over No. 6 Kentucky on February 7…tossed two no-hitters in 2015 to bring her career total up to seven – combined with Bailey Schinella on Feb. 8 versus Georgia Southern with 12 strikeouts in 6.0 innings, and retired 15 of the 16 batters she faced against Coastal Carolina on March 6…pitched a complete-game victory vs. No. 12 UCLA on February 21, recording 10 strikeouts without allowing a walk and gave up just three hits and one run…retired 15 of the 16 batters she faced, surrendering just one hit, against Boston College on February 28…tossed a complete-game two-hitter at Florida Atlantic on March 7, recording 10 strikeouts and allowing just one walk…gave up three hits and one walk with nine strikeouts in a complete-game shutout versus USC Upstate on March 12…recorded a streak of 47.2 innings without allowing an earned run (UCLA, Feb. 21 to Virginia Tech, March 21)…pitched all 8.0 innings and struck out nine as the Seminoles rallied to force extra innings and win, 7-5, at No. 25 Virginia Tech on March 21…did not give up an earned run over 10.0 innings of work at Louisville on April 11-12, recording 11 strikeouts…posted her second-straight earned-run free weekend on April 18-19 against Virginia, going 11.0 innings and giving up six hits and recording 12 strikeouts…was given her first chance to bat in her career on Senior Day (April 19) and went 1-for-3, including an RBI single in the fifth inning versus Virginia…snapped a streak of 21.1 innings without giving up an earned run on an RBI groundout at No. 1 Florida on April 22…recorded seven strikeouts in 4.0 innings versus Boston College in the ACC quarterfinals on May 7…allowed one run on one hit in 3.2 innings against Dartmouth in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional on May 15…pitched a complete game and gave up three hits and two runs with seven strikeouts in a loss at No. 8 Tennessee in the NCAA Super Regional on May 22…allowed more than two runs in only seven appearances…recorded nine or more strikeouts in 10 of her 34 starts.
Became the first Seminole since Jessica van der Linden in 2004 to be named the USA Softball National Player of the Year…earned NFCA First Team All-America and ACC Pitcher of the Year honors…seven-time ACC Pitcher of the Week (2/10, 2/24, 3/3, 3/17, 3/24, 3/31 and 4/7) to set a new conference record…NFCA National Player of the Week on March 4…established a new FSU single-season record and led the NCAA with 38 wins…ranked in the top 25 nationally in ERA (1.13 – 3rd), strikeouts (287 – 12th) and shutouts (8 – 25th)…allowed more than one earned run in only 10 of her 48 appearances on the season…finished with 80 walks, 70 runs, 43 earned runs and 190 hits over 266.1 innings…allowed a batting average of .193 which was the lowest in the ACC… had a 0.90 ERA against ACC opponents with 106 strikeouts in 101.2 innings pitched…recorded eight wins, a 2.02 ERA, 70 strikeouts and allowed a .251 batting average against ranked teams during the season…won 16 straight decisions from March 2 to April 5…combined with Bailey Schinella for a five-inning no-hitter versus North Dakota State on February 15…recorded 10 strikeouts in a complete game shutout on February 16 against North Dakota State…posted solo no-hitters at Virginia on March 9 and against Florida A&M on March 26… set a season high with 14 strikeouts against UCF on February 19 and matched it against Florida A&M on March 26… had eight appearances with at least seven strikeouts without allowing a walk, including a 13-strikeout, zero-walk performance at Florida Gulf Coast on March 12…went 2-0 and tossed all 14.0 innings of a doubleheader against NC State on March 15 and allowed five hits, three runs, two earned and recorded 14 strikeouts…allowed one hit while striking out seven in a five-inning shutout at Boston College on March 23…tossed a complete-game shutout in game one and pitched the final 3.1 innings of relief in game two of a doubleheader at North Carolina on March 30, allowing only five hits, one run and striking out 11 to post two ACC wins…retired 19 of the final 22 batters in a complete game win at UNC on March 31, surrendering only one unearned run and recording four strikeouts…tied a career high with 8.0 innings pitched and recorded nine strikeouts in FSU’s 3-2 win at No. 6 Florida on April 2…earned her fifth career save by pitching the final 1.2 innings in a 7-5 win over Maryland on April 6…came in and pitched the final three innings as FSU came back to defeat Notre Dame in nine innings on April 13…recorded five strikeouts in a relief appearance to get the win against Georgia Tech on April 27…allowed only three hits and one run with seven strikeouts and zero walks in the ACC Championship game against Notre Dame…pitched a career-high 11.0 innings without giving up a run as Florida State outlasted USF, 2-0, on May 17 in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional…pitched a total of 14.0 innings in consecutive games on May 23 versus Michigan, allowing just two total runs as FSU avoided elimination and advanced to its first WCWS since 2004…recorded five strikeouts and gave up one walk over both appearances in the 2014 Women’s College World Series.
Became the first All-American at Florida State since 2009 when she earned NFCA Third Team honors at the end of the season…she is the 26th All-American in Florida State softball history…joined Morgan Bullock on the NFCA All-Southeast Region Second Team…All-ACC First Team selection…earned ACC Pitcher of the Week three times…finished 24-10 with a 1.53 ERA…generated 259 strikeouts in 219.1 innings pitched…threw 17 complete games, five shutouts and allowed just six home runs…opponents hit just .191 against her…finished 16th nationally in ERA…31st in strikeouts per seven innings…31st in victories…43rd in hits allowed per seven innings…26th in strikeouts…was first in the ACC in ERA and opposing batting average…also top five in innings pitched, strikeouts, wins, saves, appearances, games started and hits allowed…surrendered just one run in 18 innings pitched at the ACC Tournament in Tallahassee…had a memorable 18-strikeout performance at Florida in 6.2 innings pitched…registered 8+ strikeouts in 15 of 47 appearances…allowed multiple walks in only 12 appearances…struck out 12 and only allowed one hit in 5.2 innings in game two of a doubleheader at NC State…got FSU off to a great start in the NCAA Mobile Regional tossing a complete-game win with 11 strikeouts against Mississippi State and followed it up with a complete-game 10 strikeout performance in getting the win against South Alabama…had seven double-digit strikeout performances this season…picked up saves against Appalachian State and Auburn…allowed just one home run to an ACC opponent…in 16 of her 41 games started, she did not allow an earned run…the Seminoles were 28-13 when Waldrop started in the circle…recorded a five-inning no-hitter against Troy on March 3 in an 8-0 mercy-rule victory…came within one out of a no-hitter against NC State on March 10…earned the team’s Circle Award…named to the All-ACC Tournament Team…her 18 strikeouts at Florida was the team’s top ESPY moment of the season.
Had a remarkable first year with the Seminoles, finishing 19-5 with a team-best 1.33 ERA…also led one of the nation’s top pitching staffs with six shutouts…held the opposition to a .179 batting average and allowed just 21 extra base hits in 162.2 innings pitched on the season…named to the All-ACC Second Team, becoming just the third freshman pitcher in school history to garner an All-ACC accolade, joining former players Niki Zenger (1995) and Jessica van der Linden (2001)…led the conference in earned run average…second in opposing batting average…second with 31 earned runs allowed…fourth with two saves…sixth in wins…sixth with 107 hits allowed…eighth in innings pitched…eighth with 139 strikeouts…named the co-rookie of the year at the team banquet…twice earned ACC Pitcher of the Week honors…earned her second conference pitcher of the week award after going 2-0 with 20 strikeouts in 18.2 innings against Troy and Boston College…won her first ACC Pitcher of the Week honor after going 4-0 in four appearances against Jacksonville, Florida A&M and Virginia, allowing just two earned runs in 21 innings pitched…pitched FSU’s lone no-hitter of the season in a five-inning victory over Ole Miss on Feb. 12…held a streak of 28 consecutive innings pitched without allowing an earned run…named to Bank of Hawaii Invitational All-Tournament Team…also had streaks of 25 consecutive scoreless innings pitched and 13 straight hitless innings pitched…tossed 10 complete games on the year…recorded shutouts against Tennessee Tech (Feb. 11), Ole Miss (Feb. 12), Mercer (Feb. 19), Southern Illinois (Feb. 25), Virginia (March 24) and against Boston College (April 21-22)…had saves against Virginia Tech (April 7) and Florida A&M (April 10)…allowed two runs or less in all 10 of her complete games…gave up just 12 doubles and six home runs on the season…made one NCAA postseason start, throwing 2.1 shutout innings against San Diego State on May 19.
