Redshirt Senior Season (2014)

Came back from injury to have a great senior campaign for the Garnet and Gold…named to the ACC All-Tournament Team after batting .375 with four walks and five runs scored over three games as Florida State won its 12th ACC Championship and first since 2011…started all 64 games and finished the season with a .307 batting average, 67 hits, 28 walks and 20 RBI…her 25 stolen bases led the team and she tied for most on the team with 65 runs scored…started off the season with a hit in her first seven games, including a pair of three-hits games against Nebraska (Feb. 9) and Southern Miss (Feb. 14)…had 17 multi-hit games and 17 games of scoring multiple runs…recorded a team-high 14-game hitting streak from Feb. 28 to March 16…had at least two hits in five of six games from March 11-16 against Virginia Tech, Florida Gulf Coast and NC State…set a new career high with three walks against Georgia Tech in the ACC quarterfinals…notched three hits in the opening game of the NCAA Regional against Fordham…scored the tying and go-ahead runs in FSU’s come-from-behind win over Michigan on May 23 to send the Seminoles to the Women’s College World Series for the first time since 2004…registered a hit and a walk in the WCWS game against Baylor on May 31…ended her career on the FSU all-time top 10 list for runs (207 – 2nd), triples (22 – T-2nd), hits (285 – 3rd), stolen bases (109 – 4th) and assists (391 – 8th).

Senior Season (2013)

Received a medical redshirt after her senior year was cut short with a season-ending knee injury sustained against LIU-Brooklyn on Feb. 22 … was off to a torrid start to the season, garnering a team-leading .486 (18-for-37) batting average in her 11 games played … recorded at least one base hit in 10 of her 11 games played … started all 11 games at second base … posted five multiple-hit games … was perfect from the plate on opening day against Florida A&M going 4-for-4 with two runs scored … it was her first four-hit performance of her career … set a season high in runs scored (3) against Bethune-Cookman on 2-for-3 hitting … knocked in a season-high two RBIs on 2-for-3 hitting with a triple and a run scored against LIU-Brooklyn in Palm Springs, Calif.

Junior Season (2012)

Voted as the team’s most valuable player … NFCA All-Southeast Region Second Team performer … All-ACC First Team member, her first all-conference accolade … named the Chief Abiaka Award winner at the team banquet for her courageous performance throughout the season despite having shoulder issues … All-ACC Academic Team … recorded 43 stolen bases in 2012, the most by a Seminole since former All-American Brandi Stuart stole 54 in 2002 … Brown’s 43 steals rank eighth on FSU’s single-season list … finished first or tied for first in the ACC in four categories, including base hits (66), stolen bases, at-bats (219) and steal attempts (49) … had 12 more stolen bases than the next closest student-athlete in the ACC … ends her junior season tied for 10th on FSU’s career triples list with 15 … batted .301 with four triples, 14 RBIs and three doubles in 2012 … finished eighth nationally in stolen bases per game and 28th in triples … committed just four errors in 197 chances for a stellar .980 fielding percentage at second base … batted .303 in conference play … provided the game-tying hit in the ninth inning against UCF before FSU won the game in walk-off fashion … scored the game-winning run in season opener against Stephen F. Austin … recorded game-tying single in the seventh inning against Wisconsin on Feb. 24 … recorded multiple stolen bases in nine games, including three versus Ole Miss and Florida A&M … team leader with 16 multiple-hit games … enjoyed an 11-game hitting streak, the second longest on the team … reached base in 12 consecutive games … started 60 games at second base and three at third base … already ranks sixth on FSU’s career stolen bases list with 80.

Sophomore Season (2011)

Enjoyed another outstanding season, batting .338 with two home runs and 21 RBIs … led the Seminoles in runs scored (50), at-bats (210), base hits (71), triples (6) and stolen bases (24) … recorded 20 multiple-hit games in 60 games started … held a hitting streak of seven consecutive games and a reaching base streak of 12 games … started 38 games at third base and 22 games at second base … batted leadoff in 52 of FSU’s 60 games … finished in the top 100 nationally in triples (eighth), triples per game (16th), runs per game (82nd) and stolen bases (94th) … led the ACC in triples, total plate appearances (227) and at-bats (210) … put together seven three-hit performances in 2011 against St. John’s, Middle Tennessee, Oregon State, Auburn, Mississippi State, North Florida and Virginia Tech … named ACC Player of the Week on Feb. 22 after batting .450 (9-for-20) with two triples, one double, three RBIs and 11 runs scored in six games played … stole 24 bases in 29 attempts … recorded a two-run home run versus UNC Greensboro on Feb. 12 and a leadoff blast against Virginia Tech in the first round of the ACC Championship.

Freshman Season (2010)

Played in and started 60 of Florida State’s 62 games at third base as a true freshman … named to ACC All-Tournament Team at the ACC Championship in Blacksburg, Va. … finished the season with a team third-best batting average of .328 – a mark that was also good enough for 10th in the ACC … capped off the season with an eight-game hitting streak … posted 63 hits, which ranked third on the team and fourth in the entire ACC … batted second in the lineup for the majority of the season … had an ACC ninth-best total of 35 runs, four doubles, five triples, an inside-the-park home run and 24 RBIs … finished third on the team with 80 total bases … stole 13 of 16 bases attempted … registered a team-best 92 assists.

High School

Named a first team Tallahassee Democrat All-Big Bend selection after hitting .435, notching 15 RBIs, four doubles, a home run and 31 stolen bases.


Born April 6, 1991 … graduated with a bachelor’s of science degree in Criminology in the spring of 2013 … daughter of Tangi and Terry Brown … has three brothers and one sister … wants to become a lawyer … played softball and was a cheerleader in high school … can play the trumpet and clarinet … says accountability, teamwork and short term memory are things she has learned from playing sports … names `leading by example, trustworthiness and being approachable’ as qualities that make a team leader … most memorable moment was winning the ACC championship game against UNC in 2011.
