Tied for 19th place in the 100 back with a time of 49.66 at the ACC Championships…also competed in the 50 free and 200 back events…won the 200 back in the win over Florida Atlantic…was 11th in the 200 back at the Auburn Invite…was also 14th in the 100 back…helped the depth of the Seminole relays by providing a solid lead-off backstroke leg.
Swam his career best times at the Last Chance Bulldog Invite…posted a two-second drop in the 200 back of 1:46.58 in finals while taking ninth place…posted his person best in prelims of the 100 back at 49.27 before taking seventh place with a 49.62…added depth to the Seminole medley relays all season…took fifth place in the 100 back with a time of 50.18 at the Georgia Tech Invite…added a fourth place later in the meet in the 200 back with a final time of 1:48.93.
Earned a second swim in the 100 back at ACC’s while finishing in 24th with a final time of 50. 73 after going his best time in prelims at a 50.13…went his best time in the 200 back at the Georgia Tech invite en route to a 15th place finish in the event…also touched in 14th in the 100 back at the Georgia Tech invite at a 51.20.
Brogden is a Senior National qualifier in both the 100 and 200 back and is ranked the seventh best recruit out of North Carolina by collegeswimming.com…was a three-time All-American representing Western Guilford High School where he owns all of their swimming school records… represents STAR Aquatics under the guidance of Coach Jay Dodson where he holds most of the their records.
Born April 23, 1993…son of Lee and Mary Brogden…graduated from Western Guilford High School in 2011 on the honor roll…was a part of National Honors Society as well as a three-time Academic All-American…majoring in Business-Accounting.
