A four-time FHSAA 3A state finalist, Yambor-Maul won the 50 free title in 2017 with a time of 21.20. He also led Chiles to its second straight state championship as a team. He is the son of former FSU head coach Terry Maul. Yambor-Maul also competed at the USA Swimming Futures Championship in Tennessee in the summer of 2017 and finished second in the 400m free at 4:01.49, fourth in the 800m free at 8:24.27 and was also sixth in the 200m free with a time of 1:55.51. Yambor-Maul is also a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.
