Competed at NCAAs as a relay swimmer…swam breast in the 200 and 400 medley relays…helped the Noles secure bronze and the FSU record in the 200 medley relay at the ACC Championships…finished 10th in the 100 breast (52.38) and was 17th in the 200 breast (1:55.36)…competed in the 50 free (19.93) and also was a part of the 400 medley relay that placed seventh… was the runner-up in the 100 breast (54.92) vs. Tampa…competed at the FINA SC World Championships in the 100m (59.61) and 50m breast (27.24) and was also on the 4×50 mixed free relay for the Bahamas…contributed to the new 200 medley relay school record at the Georgia Tech Invitational and finished second in the 100 breast (52.27) and sixth in the 200 breast (1:57.27)…placed third in the 100 free (47.18) and the 200 free relay against Florida Southern…recorded second-place finishes in the 100 breast (53.74) and the 200 breast (2:00.54) and secured a win in the 200 medley relay against Georgia Tech…helped the Seminoles to a win and set the Morcom Aquatics Center record in the 200 medley relay and finished second in the 100 breast (53.47) and 200 breast (1:58.21) against Auburn…placed first in all of his events at the TYR Fall Classic including meet records in the 400 medley relay, 100 breast (54.34), and 200 medley relay along with winning performances in the 200 free relay and 200 breast (2:01.33)….awarded the ACC Postgraduate Scholarship…named to All-ACC Academic Team…Coaches’ Award winner…second team honoree for CoSIDA Academic All-American for At-Large Sports

Swam breaststroke in both medley relays that earned All-America honorable mention at NCAAs…placed 11th in the 400 medley relay and 14th in the 200 medley relay…finished 19th in the 100 breast (52.29) and 36th in the 200 breast (1:56.50)…finished ninth in both the 100 breast (51.84) and 200 breast (1:53.81) setting new school records in both races at the ACC Championships….helped the 200 medley relay qualify for the NCAA Championships behind a fourth place finish at ACCs….also helped the 400 medley relay place sixth…set a Morcom Aquatics Center record in the 200 medley relay (1:26.85) against LSU…competed in the 100 free (46.67) vs. Tampa…won the 100 breast (54.56) and 200 breast (2:00.13) vs. No. 22 Auburn…placed second in the 50 free (21.48) and competed in the 500 free (5:05.03) vs. Gardner-Webb…tied for second in the 100 breast (55.40) and was third in the 200 breast (2:02.02) vs. LSU…finished third in the 200 breast (1:56.72) and fourth (54.36) in the 100 breast at the Georgia Invite…was also 11th in the 50 free (20.45) and helped the Noles take third in the 200 medley relay…finished third in the 100 breast (55.32) and 200 breast (2:00.26) against TCU…won the 100 breast (55.40) and was second in the 200 breast (2:04.23) against RV Georgia Tech…set the national records for the Bahamas in the 50m (27.60), 100m (1:00.87) and 200m (2:15.14) breast at the 2021 Bahamas National Championships…was chosen to represent the Bahamas at the 2020 Olympics…All-ACC Academic Team and CSCAA Scholar All-American

Was a part of the 200 medley relay team that captured All-America honors at the NCAA Championships behind a seventh place finish…also competed in the 400 medley relay at NCAAs… Grabbed bronze at the ACC Championships in the 200 medley relay in school record-timing of 1:23.63…swam in his first individual ACC Championship final taking sixth in the 100 breast with a personal best of 52.81…also won the C final of the 200 breast behind a best time of 1:56.62…was on the winning 200 free and 200 medley relay vs. UIW…placed second in the 100 breast (56.05) vs. No. 18 Alabama and took first in the 200 breast (2:03.49)…finished sixth with a personal best time of 54.16 in the 100 breast at the GT Invite…tied for bronze with teammate Ryan Telford in the 200 breast with a career best of 1:57.29…added a best time in the 50 free at 20.27 and also helped the Noles earn an NCAA provisional time in the 200 medley relay…All-ACC Academic Team and CSCAA Scholar All-American

A member of the Bahamas National Swim Team, Bastain is a five-time FHSAA 1A State Championship finalist and a two-time champion in the 100 breast. He placed fifth at the Junior National Championships – East in the 100 breast with a time of 54.48 and also swam in three finals at the NCSA Spring Junior National Championships. Bastain has competed at the CARIFTA Games, CCCAN, CISC, Commonwealth Youth Games and 2016 Junior Pan Pacific Championships.
