Spring 2021

Posted a 5-5 record in singles play and a 2-2 mark in conference matches…played the entire season at line six…clinched FSU’s upset of #34 Notre Dame in the ACC Championships with an epic three-set victory…second on the team with eight doubles wins and five ACC doubles victories.

Spring 2020:

Finished the spring 5-0 in singles and 0-3 in doubles…all five of his singles wins came on court six…he earned his first singles win 6-3, 6-1 over FAU’s Thomas Guy…would go on to win four straight matches against South Alabama, Tennessee Tech, Buffalo and Georgia Tech after going unfinished against Florida A&M.

Fall 2019:

Went 5-4 in singles and 0-1 in doubles in the fall…started the fall by winning his first four matches of the season at the ITA All-American Pre-Qualifying…he earned a 6-2, 6-3 win over Lamar’s Carlos Paton Canal, a 6-3, 6-0 win over Memphis’s Patrick Sydow, a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 win over Duke’s Samuel Rubell and a 7-6 (3), 6-3 win over South Carolina’s Philip Jordan.

Spring 2019:

Finished the season 7-7 in singles and 8-11 in doubles… clinched the 4-3 win over Cal at the USTA National Campus… got ranked as high as 56th in doubles with partner Richard Thongoana… was a constant member of the singles and doubles lineup that helped lead the Seminoles to their 17th straight NCAA Tournament.

Fall 2018:

Ended the fall with a 3-4 singles record and a 6-1 doubles record…went 1-1 in the ITA All-American pre-qualifying draw…finished the ITA Southeast Regional with a 1-1 record making it to the round of 32…went 2-1 in doubles at the Southeast Regional with partner Rana-Roop Singh Bhullar…won the doubles draw at the Dick Vitale Collegiate Clay Court Invitational with partner Richard Thongoana.

Spring 2018:

Was a mainstay in the lineup on courts five and six as a freshman… went 13-4 in singles and led the team in match-clinching wins with six, including the biggest one of the season over eventual National Champions, Wake Forest…won seven in a row during the middle of the season with four of the matches against ranked teams…went 3-0 in singles during the opening week in Hawai’i…clinched the match in the Seminoles opening match of the season against Hawai’i (Jan. 5)…defeated Fabian Woehrl on court five 6-3, 7-5…earned the second match-clinching win of his career against East Tennessee State (Jan. 20) on court five with a 6-1, 6-2 win in a 4-1 victory over ETSU…earned his first two doubles dual wins and his first win at the No. 3 position in the weekend doubleheader against The Citadel and Florida A&M (Feb. 10); clinched his third match against The Citadel…won his doubles match with partner Rana-Roop Singh Bhullar 6-1 against New Orleans (Feb. 25)…gave Florida State a 2-1 lead against No. 50 Clemson after a 6-2, 6-2 win on court six (March 5)…was the first to finish against Drake (Mar. 16) after dominating his opponent 6-2, 6-2 on court two…clinched his fourth match of the season against Georgia Tech (Mar. 18) with a 6-3, 6-3 win on court six…clinched the biggest match of the season on court six against No. 1 Wake Forest with a 6-7 (3-7), 6-4, 6-4 win to seal the Seminoles second-ever win over a No. 1 team (Mar. 25)…won his sixth straight match and fourth win on court five with a straight-set win over No. 38 Louisville (Mar. 29)…gave FSU a 2-0 lead with an easy 6-2, 6-0 win on court five against No. 42 Virginia (Apr. 8)…clinched his sixth match of the season on court six with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Duke’s Sean Sculley (Apr. 22)…

Fall 2017:

Earned an impressive 7-4 singles record and 5-2 doubles record with a singles and doubles title in his first semester on campus…made it to the consolation singles finals at the Alabama Four-In-The-Fall and ended with a 2-2 record…won his first doubles title at the Alabama Four-In-The-Fall with partner Jose Gracia…the pairing went 3-0 with an 8-1 win over Stuckey and Schupp of Tulsa, and an 8-6 win over Calvo and Davis of Oklahoma and an 8-0 win in the finals against Jan Pallares and Turner Voges of Memphis…went 5-0 in the Bedford Cup and became just the third Seminole to win the Bedford Cup singles title…defeated Makjail Sokolovskiy of Central Florida 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 in the finals…won one match at the ITA Southeast regional.

Before FSU:

Won a national open in tennis in every age division… was ranked as high as No. 7 in the country…was the top ranked player from the state of Texas and the Gulf Region according to…holds a career high ranking of No. 2 in the IMG Tennis RPI.


Multi-sport athlete growing up who played basketball and baseball along with tennis…comes from a family of athletes… dad Donnie played tennis for the University of Arkansas, mom Shari played tennis for the University of Tennessee, brother Nick played tennis for the University of Georgia and brother Matt plays baseball for Navarro Junior College…plans on studying business while at Florida State…aspires to be a pro tennis player after college…born October 30, 1998.
