Legacy athlete enters his third year with the program since transferring from FIU…competes in the multi events…looking to rebound after injuries cut short his 2018 seasons.
Indoor: Competed in two meets…opened the season with a new Heptathlon personal-best at the Razorback Invitational, where his 4,129-point total was good for a seventh-place finish and No. 8 on FSU’s all-time list…performance included new PBs in the 60-meter dash (7.57), shot put (10.69m/35-1) and pole vault (4.20m/13-9.25)…was on his way to another Hep personal-best at the ACC Championships when he was injured in the pole vault and suffered no-height. Outdoor: Injury indoors curtailed his outdoor season after just one meet…did establish new PBs in the 100 (12.00) and long jump (6.26m/20-6.5) at the FSU Relays before his season ended.
Indoor: Competed in two meets before he was shut down to undergo surgery…opened his FSU career as a redshirt freshman competing in three events at the Clemson Invitational…returned to Clemson two weeks later for his first Heptathlon, scoring 4,045 points to place fourth. Outdoor: Sat out the season while recovering from surgery.
Hard working athlete who began his high school career as a distance runner before migrating to the high jump and pole vault…sat out last year as a freshman at FIU, where he was a Dean’s List performer in the classroom…the son of FSU graduates Mark and Karen Napier…father, Mark, competed in the jumps and decathlon at FSU in ’88 and ’89 and is the head track coach at Lakewood Ranch…majoring in economics with a minor in film…born Jan. 2, 1997.
