PERFORMANCE PROFILE

Senior transfer was a three-time NJCAA national champion for South Plains; twice in the long jump and once in the triple jump…finished sixth at the 2019 NCAA Indoor Championships in the long jump for Middle Tennessee State before injury cut short his outdoor season…owns long jump PB of 8.10m (26-7) and triple jump PB of  16.02m (52-6.75).

2020

Indoor: Qualified for the NCAA Championships on the strength of his ACC Championship long jump title, when he soared 7.86 meters (25-9.5) to outdistance his teammates as the Noles’ amassed 35 points in the event on the way to the team title…that mark ranks No. 6 on FSU’s all-time indoor list…posted a pair of second-place finishes – behind his teammate – at the Vanderbilt Invitational (7.77m) and Texas Tech Invitational (7.82m).

 

Personal

Decorated long and triple jump specialist from Nigeria who joins the Noles after transferring from Middle Tennessee State for his senior season…won three NJCAA national titles for South Plains (Texas) junior college…in 2016 won indoor and outdoor long jump titles, adding runner-up finishes in the triple jump in both seasons…South Plains won the ’16 outdoor team title…redshirted in 2017 and missed the 2018 indoor season…won ’18 NJCAA Outdoor triple jump title and grabbed silver in the long jump…at Middle Tennessee, won the 2019 Conference USA Indoor long jump title and was fourth in triple jump…followed up with a sixth-place finish (7.86m/25-9.5) at the NCAA Indoor Championships…suffered mid-April injury ending his ’19 outdoor season…was triple jump finalist at 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships…won 2013 African Junior Championships triple jump title and finished fourth at the Nigerian national meet…the son of Kevin and Matina Edoki…plans to major in business administration…born March 30, 1998.
