PERFORMANCE PROFILE

Junior hurdler looking to make the next step under the guidance of new coach Matt Kane…established new outdoor personal-bests in both the 110-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles before his season ended prematurely…should benefit from practicing alongside what is the nation’s deepest hurdles group.

 

 

2020

Indoor: Enjoyed the best season of his career with the Noles in the 60-meter hurdles, bolting from the blocks in his season debut by running a personal-best of 7.78 in the final at the Orange & Purple Elite; the No. 9 time in program history…advanced to the final in three of five competitions, including the ACC Championships, where he finished seventh as the Noles won the team title…placed fourth at the Texas Tech Invitational, getting to the finals on the strength of a 7.82 semifinal performance; his second-fastest time of the season.

 

2019

Indoor: Competed in only two meets…opened up at the Tiger Paw Invitational with a fifth-place showing in the 60-meter hurdles and also handled a leg on the 4×400…came back at the ACC Indoor Championships with his second consecutive fifth-place finish, posting a season-best 7.98 in the final after qualifying seventh as the Noles grabbed a share of the team title. Outdoor: Turned in his finest performance in his last competition when he recorded personal-bests in the 110 hurdles (13.91) and 400 hurdles (52.40) to place third and fifth, respectively, at the Tom Jones Memorial…registered fourth-place finishes in the 110 hurdles at the Crimson Tide Invitational (14.16) and FSU Relays (13.99 w), where he was also sixth in the 400 hurdles.

 

2018

Indoor: In his first season of indoor competition advanced to the finals in three of five 60-meter hurdles entries…dropped a breakthrough PB of 7.91 – No. 8 all-time among Noles – in the prelims of the ACC Championships to qualify seventh for the finals…finished fifth in the finals (7.93)…was seventh in the finals of his collegiate debut at Clemson’s Orange & Purple…finished eighth in finals at Razorback Invitational…back-to-back 8.04 performances at Razorback & Tyson Invitational set stage for ACC performance. Outdoor: Competed in eight meets, including the NCAA East Preliminary, where he narrowly qualifying for the NCAA Championships by placing 14th…scored in two events for the ACC team champion Noles…was seventh in the 110-meter hurdle finals and eighth in the 400-meter hurdle finals…posted 400-meter hurdles PB at the National Relay Championships (52.66) in just his second race at that distance…110-meter hurdles PB (13.98) came on home track at FSU Relays…capped freshman season by placing eighth at the USATF Junior Championships in the 110-meter hurdles.

PERSONAL:

Capped an outstanding career by win the Florida 2A 110-meter hurdles title as a senior after finishing fourth as a junior…claimed bronze at the 2017 state meet in the 300-meter hurdles for the second consecutive year while also lending a leg to the 4×400 relay…owns personal-bests of 13.85 in the 11o hurdles and 37.35 in the 300 hurdles…first-team All-Big Bend in 2016 and 2017, winning Big Bend Track & Field Runner of the Year as a senior…outstanding student who graduated from Godby with honors…the son of Pamela Dickens…as a freshman at FSU competed as Tyericke Dickens…born March 23, 1999.
