Established himself as a multi-threat NCAA Championships qualifier in both the long jump and triple jump in 2019…earned first-team All-ACC honors outdoors and advanced to the NCAA East Preliminary in both events as a sophomore…could well rank as one of FSU’s all-time bests before his career is completed.





Indoor: Contributed scoring performances in both the long jump and triple jump toward the Seminoles’ third consecutive ACC Championship…posted an indoor PB in the long jump (7.51m/24-7.75) at the ACC meet to place sixth and was seventh in the triple jump (15.62m/51-3)…established a new indoor PB in the triple jump at the Texas Tech Invitational (15.70m/51-6.25)…advanced to the triple jump finals in five of six meets.



Indoor: Came up clutch at the ACC Indoor Championships with a fifth-place finish in the triple jump with an indoor PB of 15.31m (50-2.75) as the Noles claimed a share of the team title…registered his indoor personal-best in the long jump at the Tyson Invitational when he finished fifth with a leap of 7.26m (23-10)…qualified for the finals in both events at the Texas Tech classic, highlighted by his eighth-place finish in the triple jump as he eclipsed 15 meters (15.02/49-3.5) for the first time, indoors or outdoors…was second in the triple jump and sixth in the long jump at the season-opening Orange & Purple Elite. Outdoor: Qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary meet for the first time, competing in both the triple jump and long jump…came within .04cm of advancing to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the triple jump when he finished 13th with a third-round mark of 15.61m (51-2.75)…turned in a monster performance at the ACC Outdoor Championships with personal-best performances in both events and a pair of first-team All-ACC honors…finished second in the long jump when he soared 7.56m (24-9.75) and was third in the triple jump with a lifetime-best of 15.84m (51-11.75) behind a pair of first-team All-Americans…posted first of three outdoor triple jump PBs at the Florida Relays (15.19m/49-10), which he improved to 15.30m (50-2.5) at the Crimson Tide Invitational…had breakthrough long jump PB of 7.52m (24-8.25) in a fifth-place finish at the Beach Invitational in California.



Indoor: Competed in five meets during his inaugural season, including the ACC Championships…posted a triple jump personal-best at the Orange & Purple Invitational in his first indoor competition (14.79m)…two weeks later registered his long jump PB at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational (7.22m)…advanced to the finals at the Tyson Invitational where he was ninth…competed in both horizontal jumps at the ACC Championships. Outdoor: Battled through nagging injury outdoors to see action in four meets…was third in the long jump at the Seminole Twilight (7.10m/23-3.5)…narrowly missed long jump finals at the ACC Outdoor Championships, finishing 10th.


Outstanding all-around athlete from the Florida Panhandle who will focus primarily on the jumps…won three Florida 1A state titles for Sneads High, most recently claiming the 2017 triple jump crown…claimed 1A state long jump titles as a sophomore and junior…was the 2016 state runner-up in the high jump and triple jump, scoring 26 points by himself for a seventh-place team finish…in addition to excelling on the track was a four-year varsity letter winner in football and basketball…a strong student, he was named to the FACA All-State Academic team…plans to major in sports medicine…the son of Christella and Charlie Giles…born Dec. 30, 1998.
