Recorded personal-best 1500 at the Tom Jones Memorial in 2019
Cross Country: Competed in five meets and got off to an impressive start…was third on the team and fifth overall in the season-opening Covered Bridge Open 8k, helping Noles to their lone team win of the season…turned in an 8k personal-best at the Virginia Tech Alumni Invitational, finishing ninth overall and fourth on the team in 24:59.3…was seventh man at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational…and finished in the sixth spot among Noles at the Under Armour Pre-Nationals…placed 108th in his first ACC Championships appearance…served as alternate at the South Region and NCAA Championships. Indoor: Opened the season up with a solid leg on FSU’s winning DMR at the Bob Pollock Invitational as the quartet recorded the No. 4 time in program history (9:40.80)…competed in the mile in three additional meets, including the ACC Championships…top performance came at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational (4:08.59).
Cross Country: Made his official debut at the Covered Bridge Open, placing 19th in the 8k event (26:09.5)…competed at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational where he was the Noles’ No. 8 finisher…turned in his best performance at the UAB Blazer Classic, placing 36th overall in an 8k personal-best time of 25:48.6. Indoor: in his sophomore season on the boards, saw action in two meets…competed in the mile at the Bob Pollock Invitational (4:13.73) and the David Hemery Valentine Invitational (4:14.18). Outdoor: Trimmed 3.5 seconds off his 1500-meter time in four starts, opening up in 3:53.72 to place sixth at the FSU Relays…capped season at Tom Jones Memorial with a new personal-best of 3:50.30 to finish 12th.
Cross Country: Redshirted his first season. Indoor: Competed in three meets, including the ACC Championships…established new personal-bests in the 3000 (8:49.33, Orange & Purple Invitational) and the mile (4:08.54, Hemery Valentine Invitational)…did not advance from prelims in the mile at the ACC Indoor Championships. Outdoor: Redshirted.
Captained both the cross country and track & field teams as a senior at Geneva Community High School…boasts prep personal bests of 1:55.41 (800), 4:13.63 (1600) and 9:16.44 (3200)…scored at the 3A state meet in the 1600 as a junior and senior…won 3A regional cross country title in 2015…played basketball as a freshman…outstanding student who was inducted into the National Technical Honor Society in 2017…pursuing a double major in accounting and management at FSU…the son of Keith and Jodi Dau…born May 18, 1998.
