Capped off her senior season leading the team with 886 total attacks and saw one of the highest hitting percentages on the team at .233 … Quickly earned a career-high in kills with 22 against Illinois State at the Hampton Inn & Suites Waco North Baylor Invitational … Set a career-high record with 51 attacks against Illinois State, then beat that record with 57 attacks against UC Santa Barbara in the same day at the Baylor Invitational … Earned Tournament MVP honors at the Baylor Invitational after helping the Seminoles take down Baylor, and combining for 39 kills on 108 total attacks (.259) in FSU’s victories over Illinois State and UCSB … Earned 33 kills on 93 total attacks (.281) over the three matches in the Seminole Invitational to receive All-Tournament honors … Her .326 hitting percentage against Auburn (18/3/46) was the highest on the team … Led the team in kills (19), total attacks (36) and hitting percentage (.500) in one of her most efficient matches of the season against NC State … Her .500 hitting percentage against the Wolfpack was a season high … Tallied 11 kills on 46 attacks in FSU’s NCAA Tournament match against Washington State … Her 127 career total attacks in NCAA Tournament matches through two years at FSU ranks 14th all-time.

JUNIOR (Florida State, 2016):

One of five Florida State players with at least 125 kills on the season (147), while averaging 1.43 kills/set … made an impact on defense with 57 total blocks (56 assisted blocks) at a clip of 0.55 blocks/set … responsible for 93 kills (1.35 kills/set) in Atlantic Coast Conference action after appearing in 69 sets … finished with 36 assisted blocks (0.52 blocks/set) along with 23 digs (0.33 digs/set) … began her Florida State career with two kills and two assisted blocks in three sets at UCF (Aug. 27) … drove home four kills and contributed three assisted blocks against No. 16 Texas A&M (Sept. 1) in the opening round of the Puerto Rico Clasico … finished with three kills on five attempts against Little Rock (Sept. 9) in the Home2Suites by Hilton Tallahassee Seminole Tournament … exploded for a career-high 13 kills while posting a .684 attack percentage in a four-set clash against Florida (Sept. 18). That outing topped her previous career-high in kills (10), which was established during her two-year stint at Santa Clara in a match against Cal Poly (Sept. 20, 2014) … came off the bench to finish with 10 kills, three digs and two assisted blocks in the ACC opening weekend against Miami (Sept. 23) and Louisville (Sept. 25) … finished with four kills in back-to-back matches against Syracuse (Sept. 30) and Boston College (Oct. 2) … enjoyed a solid outing against NC State (Oct. 9) as she finished with six kills in nine attempts (.667 attack percentage) to go along with an assisted block … wrapped up her best ACC outing of the season with nine kills (.600 attack percentage), five assisted blocks and two digs against Virginia Tech (Oct. 14) … came through with three kills and three assisted blocks in a solid outing against Pittsburgh (Oct. 16) … closed out a solid performance at Miami (Oct. 19) where she emerged wtih five kills (.308 attack percentage) and four assisted blocks … capped off a solid performance against Louisville (Oct. 28) with a .267 hitting percentage, six kills, two digs and two assisted blocks … drove home three kills and finished with one assisted block against Notre Dame (Oct. 30) … came through with six kills and a .278 hitting pct. while making three assisted blocks against NC State (Nov. 4) … emerged with six kills (.231 hitting pct.) to go along with two assisted blocks versus No. 12 North Carolina (Nov. 6) … came through with two assisted blocks and one kill over two sets against Boston College (Nov. 11) … closed out the Seminoles’ four-set win at Duke (Nov. 18) with eight kills, three digs and two assisted blocks … emerged with five kills and two digs in a four-set win at Wake Forest (Nov. 20) … drove home six kills and added two assisted blocks in a four-set win over Clemson (Nov. 23) … had five kills and a .312 attack percentage in a five-set victory against Georgia Tech (Nov. 25) … contributed seven kills, two digs and one assisted blocks in the NCAA Tournament opener against Cincinnati (Dec. 2) … followed with an eight-kill, five-block outing that included four assisted blocks as the Seminoles earned a five-set victory at archrival Florida (Dec. 3) … wrapped up her first season at Florida State by closing with a team-high 12 kills on 28 attacks in a four-set setback to Stanford. Calkins was also active on defense with four digs and two assisted blocks.

SOPHOMORE (Santa Clara, 2015):

Finished the season with 56 kills (1.33 kills / set) and 26 total blocks (0.62 blocks / set) … active on the front row for the Broncos with 24 assisted blocks and two solo blocks … got the season off to a solid start by finishing with eight kills in a sweep of Rutgers (Aug. 29) at the Santa Clara Tournament … enjoyed a solid performance against Cal State Fullerton (nine kills, four assisted blocks, .615 attack percentage) to open the month of September … followed that outing with a seven-kill, two-block outing against UTSA (Sept. 10) which resulted in a .375 attack percentage … began West Coast Conference play by recording five kills and four assisted blocks against San Diego (Sept. 24) …. Emerged with five kills, four assisted blocks and one solo block against No. 10 BYU (Sept. 26).

FRESHMAN (Santa Clara, 2014):

Named to the West Coast Conference All-Freshman Team after finishing with 98 kills (1.34 kills / set) and 56 total blocks (0.77 blocks / set) … enjoyed a series of solid individual performances against Cal Poly (10 kills, two assisted blocks, .412 attack percentage) and No. 24 San Diego, where she led Santa Clara to a 3-1 victory with nine kills, four assisted blocks and a .562 attack percentage … had three kills and three assisted blocks while posting a .600 attack percentage versus St. Francis Brooklyn (Aug. 29) … wrapped up a start against Northern Illinois (Sept. 20) where she finished with nine kills and a .750 attack percentage … defensive menace on the front row with five assisted blocks against San Francisco (Sept. 26) … posted five assisted blocks and two kills in a start against Pacific (Sept. 30) … wrapped up a start versus Gonzaga (Oct. 10) with nine kills, six assisted blocks and one solo block … emerged with six assisted blocks and two kills at No. 24 LMU (Oct. 18) … capped off a five-kill, four-block outing against Saint Mary’s (Oct. 23) by posting a .500 attack percentage …  finished a clash with No. 11 BYU (Oct. 30) by recording five kills, two blocks and a .444 attack percentage … tallied four kills and two blocks vs. No. 24 San Diego (Nov. 1) … ended a match against San Francisco (Nov. 20) with six kills and a .750 attack percentage … notched seven kills and a .636 attack percentage in shutout against Saint Mary’s (Nov. 24) … saw action against Oregon (Dec. 5) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament where she posted two kills and one block.


A four-sport athlete who also competed in basketball, swimming, track and volleyball at William Aberhart High School … integral part of helping the Trojans capture back-to-back Calgary Senior Girls City Championship during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons … ended the 2013-14 season by finishing third in the Alberta province … led William Aberhart HS to a fourth place finish in the province in 2012-13 … captured the Calgary Junior Girls City championship in 2011-12 … brought home third place at Cities Event in the long jump in 2012-13 … followed that up by finishing third place at the Cities Event in the 4×100 relay (2013-14).


Daughter of Esmie Lawrence and Brian Calkins … mother competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics for Canada’s 4×400 meter relay team before competing professionally in France … father played basketball at Grande Prairie Regional College … majoring in sports management.
