Took another step forward in 2020, earning AVCA All-East Region honors and All-ACC Second Team honors…Named ACC Player of the Week on March 17 after leading FSU in points (37.0) and kills (35) in home wins over No. 14 Notre Dame and Virginia Tech…Finished second on the team in kills (183), digs (161) and points (211.5)…Totaled five double-doubles on the year in kills and digs…Recorded four matches at a .400 hitting clip or better…Tied a season best with 20 points recorded in FSU’s 3-2 comeback win over No. 14 Notre Dame (March 12), recording 18 kills and 10 digs…Followed with 17 kills, a .359 hitting percentage and nine digs vs. Virginia Tech (March 14)…Had a four-match stretch vs. Duke (12), Notre Dame (18), Virginia Tech (17) and Louisville (12) with double-digit kills…Ended the season on a high note with 11 kills on 25 swings vs. Syracuse (April 1)…Totaled eight matches with double-digit digs…Led the Seminoles with 39 digs and 3.0 digs per set in FSU’s shortened four-match season in the fall 2020…Delivered a big performance in FSU’s 3-1 win at No. 11 Miami, totaling 19 kills and a .405 attack percentage and 14 digs (Oct. 15)…Had double-digit digs at Miami with 13 (Oct. 16)…Finished the fall season third on FSU with 36 kills and 2.77 kills per set.


Shined in her first full season of collegiate indoor volleyball in 2019 as she played in all 29 matches and 101 sets on the year…led the team with 320 digs and was second with 254 kills, 786 attacks and 21 service aces…also added 32 blocks and 15 assists on the season…finished with nine double-doubles on the season, including four 15/15 matches…recorded three service aces against No. 5 Wisconsin on August 30, along with two kills and two digs…finished with nine kills, 11 digs and two blocks as the Seminoles swept No. 3 Minnesota on August 31…posted a double-double with 15 kills and 17 digs, along with an ace and three blocks against FAU…ended with 13 kills, 12 digs and a block in a sweep of Stony Brook on September 13…did not commit an attacking error against Alabama on September 20, finishing with 10 kills and a .526 hitting percentage as the Noles defeated the Crimson Tide in straight sets…opened ACC play with a 12-kill, 14-dig performance on the road at Duke (September 27)…recorded three service aces and added seven kills and 10 digs at NC State on October 11…had an outstanding afternoon at North Carolina, leading the team with 20 kills and adding three aces and 17 digs…finished with 12 kills, 12 digs and a pair of service aces on the road at Clemson on October 27…recorded 21 kills, 20 digs and three blocks at High Point on November 2…tallied 15 kills and 19 digs versus North Carolina (Nov. 17)…recorded 11 kills, 16 digs and three blocks on the road at No. 2 Pitt…posted a season-high 22 digs and five assists, along with three kills and an ace, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against UCF on December 5.

FRESHMAN (2018):

Chacon saw action in three matches in her first season competing for Florida State before redshirting the rest of the season…She helped the Seminoles pick up two three-set wins over TCU (8/31) at the Colorado State Tournament and against Florida A&M (9/8) in Tallahassee…Took three swings in FSU’s five-set match against Colorado State (9/1) … Saw a season-high two digs against Florida A&M.


Chacon joined her sister, Alaina, on FSU’s beach volleyball team for the spring of 2019. She was joined by teammate Payton Caffrey.

One of PrepVolleyball’s Top Players in 2017, outside hitter Morgan Chacon comes to Tallahassee from Crown Point, Indiana. She came to campus in the spring of 2018, and joined her sister Alaina, a freshman on the beach volleyball team…As a junior at Crown Point High School, Chacon earned First Team All-State honors, was named the MVP of the Duneland Athletic Conference, and secured a spot on the 2016 AVCA Phenom List…She capped off her illustrious high school campaign with 470 kills, 284 digs, 75 total blocks, and 41 aces in her final season, while leading Crown Point to a Class 4A runner-up finish…She was named a 2017 USAV All-American and won the Post-Tribune Girls Volleyball Player of the Year, the same year she was named to the All-Tournament Team at the USA Girls’ 18s Junior National Championships, leading her team to a third place finish…Aside from volleyball, Chacon has also participated in competitive cheerleading, softball, and gymnastics.
