Cross Country: Finished 6th overall at the Mountain Dew Invitational with a 6k personal-best time (21:15.97)…finished 12th overall at the FSU Invitational with a 5k personal-best time (17:22.5)…did not participate at the UAB Blazer Classic.
Cross Country: Trained with the squad but sat out of competition as a redshirt…competing unattached at the FSU Invitational, finished third overall behind a pair of All-Americans, closing in a huge 5k personal-best of 17:46.9. Indoor: Saw the first indoor action of her career, competing in four meets…improved on Vanderbilt season-opener with a 3000m PB a the Bob Pollock Invitational (9:53.83)…followed up with a breakthrough 5000m PB (16:43.67) at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational…competed at the ACC Indoor Championships in the 5000, placing 18th (16:47.89) out of the first section.
Cross Country: Competed in two events, flashing promise…was 36th overall at the Mountain Dew Invitational (18:39.7)…placed sixth overall at the Bobcat Invitational in her first 6k race (22:487). Indoor: did not compete. Outdoor: toed the starting line in four meets…whacked nine seconds off her opening 1500 at FAMU Relays when she ran 4:48.51 at FSU Relays…opened eyes in her 5000m debut at the Florida Relays when she ran 17:27.33…capped season with a third-place 5000 finish at Crimson Tide Invitational.
As a senior at Mosley High was a first-time 3A FHSAA state qualifier on the track in the 800 and 1600 in 2018…also selected to represent the North squad at the FACA Senior All-Star Cross Country Classic…established new personal-bests of 19:26.00 (5k, XC), 5:14.10 (1600) and 2:19.17 (800) in final season…served as Fellowship of Christian Athletes president…graduated top 10 from her class with a weighted GPA of 4.62…daughter of Alan and Jeanette Swigler…majoring in environmental science at FSU…born April 12, 2000.
