Played in the first match of her career — the Florida State Match-Up in Tallahassee — as an individual…totaled scores of 73-86-78 for a three round total of 237…finished in 62nd place in the individual standings…totaled a 1-over par score of 73 in her first career collegiate round, including three birdies on the first seven holes…was at par or better on 14 holes in her first collegiate round…was one stroked under par for the first 11 holes of her career…was never more than one stroke over par during her first collegiate round…carded 13 of 18 holes in the round at par in the third round of the Florida State Match-Up…averaged 79.00 strokes in three rounds during one event.

Summer 2017

Finished in a tie for 42nd place at the 2017 FSGA Women’s Amateur Stoke Play Championship at Sara Bay Country Club in Sarasota.

Played in two matches as an individual – the Florida State Match-Up in Tallahassee and the Brickyard Collegiate in Macon, Ga. – during the spring of her senior year…totaled scores of 75-73-77 for a three-round total of 225 in the Florida State Match-Up…tied her career-low for a single round score (73) and established career-best score for 36 holes (145), for a three-round tournament (225) and for a three-round tournament score vs. par (+9) in the Seminole hosted Florida State Match-Up…finished tied for 37th place in the individual standings setting a career low finish…averaged 78.83 strokes in six rounds in two tournaments.


Before Florida State:

Graduated from Venice High School in 2014…standout student-athlete and named team captain in golf…earned All Area First Team honors as a sophomore, junior and senior…won the 2011 Sarasota City Individual Junior Championship…earned fourth place finishes at the 2013 district and regional championships…the low scorer for Venice High School in the 2012 and 2013 state championship tournaments…led Venice High School to 3 District Titles and a Regional Championship.…also selected to represent the Greater Sarasota Junior Golf Association in the 2013 FSGA Junior Team Championship.


Born July 19, 1996…Lexie is the daughter of Nick and Beth Flerlage…a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society…was the historian of the Spanish Honor Society…a member of the Superintendent’s Advisory Council…graduated high school with STAR Leadership and ranked in the top three percent of her class…selected as 2014 FSGA Scholar,  received the Golden Eagle Award and was a member of Youth Development and Student Leadership…involved with student government all four years of high school, serving as Freshman Class President and as a senator during her sophomore, junior and senior years…enjoys watching horror films and listening to 80’s music…is very creative and makes jewelry, stained and fused glass, paints and enjoys basket weaving…was the editor of the school yearbook as a senior.

The golfer I admire the most is Tiger Woods.: My favorite golf movie is From the Rough starring Taraji Henson and Michael Clarke Duncan.: My favorite golf course is Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Md.: My favorite aspect of the game of golf is the mental toughness you need to be a successful golfer.: I enjoy playing softball and watching football and basketball.: The best advice I have ever been given about the game of golf is the set specific goals and practice each day with a purpose of getting better.
