Played in the U.S. Women’s Amateur for the second time in her career at Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield, Pa…carded scores of 74-80 but did not make the cut…won the individual championship at the Judson Collegiate Invitational at the Country Club of Roswell.

Played in her first career NCAA Championship Finals in 2017…played in each of the Seminoles’ eight events in her first spring season with the Seminoles in helping Florida State to the NCAA Championship Finals…helped Florida State to a school-record tying second place finish in her first career ACC Championship tournament at The Reserve at Pawleys Island…the second place finish tied Florida State’s school record for best finish in an ACC Championship…career-best single round score of 66 came in the opening round of the Dickson Intercollegiate…her score of 66 was tied for the second best single round score of the spring season among her teammates…posted a season-best three-round score of two-under par (213) at The Dickson Intercollegiate where she finished tied for seventh place…shot 75 or better in all 14 of her rounds during the regular season was in second place in the individual standings after shooting a first round score of 66 at the Dickson Intercollegiate…moved into a tie for seventh place after a second round 75 and finished in a tie for seventh place with her three-round total of 213…under par at the Dickson (minus two) for the second time in her career…she was also a career-best minus five in finishing in a tie for sixth place at the fall 2016 Jim West Challenge…two scores in the 60’s with a career-best 66 in the first round of the Dickson Intercollegiate and a second round 69 at the Florida State Match-Up…helped the Seminoles to team championships at both events…one top-10 finish came at the Dickson Intercollegiate to bring her career total to three (Jim West Chellenge, Cardinal Cup and the Dickson)…finished in the top 15 in four of the six tournaments and earned her season-high finish of tied for seventh at The Dickson Intercollegiate…top 15 finishes also came at the Florida Challenge at the Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto, Fla. Florida State’s leading golfer with a career-low 72.08 stroke average, with 10 of 12 rounds scored 75 or better and earned the first hole-in-one of her collegiate career in the first round of the Schooner Fall Classic…also earned the second eagle of her career at the Stanford Intercollegiate…played in all four events for the Seminoles – the Ocean Course Intercollegiate, the Schooner Fall Classic, the ANNIKA Intercollegiate and the Stanford Intercollegiate…Florida State’s leading golfer at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate (tied for 11th place) and the Stanford Intercollegiate (tied for 15th) and tied for the Seminoles’ individual lead in the Ocean Course Invitational…third career top-10 finish came at the Ocean Course Intercollegiate with scores of 78-70-72 for a 1 over par total of 220…improved her individual standing throughout the three-round tournament…was in a tie for 49th after a first round score of 78…moved up in a tie for 20th place with a second round score of 70 and a two-round total of 148…her 3 under par score of 70 in the third round moved her into the top-10 of the individual standings…helped the Seminoles to a second place finish in the team standings with her tied for 10th place finish…consecutive under par finishes for the first time in her career with a 1-under par total of 212 at the Schooner Fall Classic and a 1-under par total of 215 at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate…outstanding play in finishing in a tie for 16th place in the individual standings to lead the Seminoles to a fifth place finish in the team standings at the Schooner Fall Classic…scores of 71-71-70 for a three-round total of 212…Doherty played a solid first round of with her first career hole-in-one, one birdie and 13 more holes scored at par in earning a 71…she was never more than two strokes over par and her hole-in-one on her second to last hole brought her score to even par for the round… carded a team-high six birdies in the second round and carded a second consecutive score of 71…played her best golf of the tournament with a 1-under par score of 70 in the final round for a 1-under par total of 212…carded three rounds at par or better – 71-71-70 – the only Seminole to do so during the Schooner Fall Classic…Florida State’s leader with a tied for ninth place finish in the individual standings at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate…continued to sizzle during the fall season as he carded her fourth consecutive score of 71 or better and was in a tie for sixth place in the individual standings after the first round…was nearly perfect during the round with two birdies and 17 holes played at par or better…she was never above par and, after a birdie on her 11th hole of the day, was below par for her final eight holes of the day…closed her round at 1-under par over her final 13 holes…totaled a team-high six birdies and was below par during virtually the entire third round as she carded a 70 in the final round…scored par on her first two holes, birdied her third hole and was at minus-four when she made the turn…carded two birdies after the turn and was at or below par on 14 of her 18 holes…again led the Seminoles with a tied for 15th place finish at the Stanford Intercollegiate…carded a 3-under par 68, in the second round of the Stanford Intercollegiate to bring her two-day total to 142…carded four birdies and one eagle in coming within two strokes of tying her career-best round of 66….was 1-under par with two birdies on her front nine and 2-under par with two birdies and the second eagle of her career on the back nine…finished the tournament with a three-round total of 218…her scores of 74-68-76 allowed her to finish in the top-15 of the individual standings for the second consecutive event and for the third time in four events during the fall season…she did not finish lower than 16th in any of the Seminoles’ four events and finished the season a total of only four strokes over par…averaged a career-low 72.08 strokes in 12 rounds during four tournaments.
Earned All-American Honorable Mention (GolfWeek), All-ACC and All-Tallahassee Regional honors as she enjoyed the best season of her career…her average of 72.09 ranks as the fifth lowest stroke average for a single season in school history…finished below par in four of eight events and even or better at par in five of eight events…helped lead the Seminoles to a second place finish in the ACC Championship, a second place finish in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional and a tied for 12th place finish in the NCAA Championships…ranked second on the team with a 72.09 stroke average in 23 rounds during eight events…led the Seminoles in rounds scored at par (16 of 23, .696 percent) and was tied for second on the team with 17 rounds scored at par or better (17 of 23, .739 percent)…led the Seminoles with five rounds carded in the 60’s…tied her career-best score for a single round with a 66 in the second round of the NCAA Tallahassee Regional in helping the Seminoles advance to the 2018 NCAA Championship finals…owns the school record for low round in an NCAA Regional Championship (along with Seminole All-American Morgane Metraux) with a 66 in the third round of the NCAA Tallahassee regional Championship on May 9, 2018…two-round career-best with a 135 (69-66) in the first two rounds of the NCAA Tallahassee Regional Championship…best career-three round tournament score of 206 and best score vs. par of -10 came in the finishing in a tie for fourth place in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional Championship…her minus 10 strokes under par score of 206 is tied for the sixth best gross score and tied for the sixth best score vs. par in school history…her score of 206 is tied for the best three-round tournament score in an NCAA Regional Championship in school history…finished in a career-best second place twice – at the Florida State Match-Up and while playing as an individual in the Brickyard Collegiate…finished as the Seminoles’ leading golfer in four different events – the Florida State Match-Up (tied for fourth), the Clemson Invitational (tied for 15th), the Brickyard Collegiate (tied for second) and the NCAA Tallahassee Regional Championship (tied for fourth)…totaled two eagles during the season – in the third round of the Florida State Match-Up on February 10, 2018 and in the first round of the NCAA Tallahassee Regional Championship on May 7, 2018…helped lead Florida State to a fifth place team finish in the Florida State Match-Up at the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course in Tallahassee with the first second place finish of her career…carded three under par scores of 71-69-68 for a total of 208 in finishing as the runner-up in the in the individual standings…was in a tie for 11th in the individual standings with a 1 under par 71, moved into fifth place with a second round 69 (and a 140 total) and closed the event with a 68 to move into second place in the final individual standings…second career second place finish came while playing as an individual (the entire Seminoles’ team played as individuals) as she carded a 1 under par score of 215…finished only two strokes behind the leader (Morgan Baxendale) in the race for her first career title…first career top-five finish in the ACC Championship with an even par score of 215 to lead the Seminoles to a school-record tying second place finish in the conference championship at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C…was tied for eighth after her first round score of 72, moved into third place with her second round score of 67 (and 139 total) and finished in fifth place with her score of 77 (and 216 total) in the third round…under par in all three rounds of the 2018 NCAA Tallahassee Regional with scores of 69-66-71 for a three round total of a personal best 206…tied for seventh after the first round, tied for second after the second round and finished in a tied for fifth place with a third round 71 and 206 total…averaged 72.09 strokes in 23 rounds during eight tournaments.
Won the championship of the Georgia Top 60 Women’s Classic with scores of 65-69 for a two-day total of 134…her score of 134 ranks as the lowest in the 37-year history of the event…the event was played at the Manor Golf and Country Club in Alpharetta. Ga. …was the only golfer in the 60-player field to shoot two rounds in the 60’s…advanced to match play in the 116th North & South Amateur Championship at the famed Pinehurst Golf Club…finished in a tie for 10th place in two rounds of stroke play with scores of 75-75…marked the second time in her career that she had played in the prestigious North & South Championship…played in the US Amateur at the Country Club of Tennessee…carded scores of 75-72 during stroke play for a total of 147…marked the third time in her career that she played in the event.

Played in three of Florida State’s four fall events and led the Seminoles to a pair of top-five team finishes at the Schooner Fall Classic and the Landfall Tradition…the Seminoles’ leading golfer at the Landfall Tradition (T11)…finished second among her teammates with a career-low 71.67 stroke average in three events and nine rounds…season-low score of 67 came in the first round of the Cougar Classic and in the third round of the Schooner Fall Classic…tied for the team lead with five rounds scored at par or better…earned three top-25 individual finishes – tied for 11th at the Landfall Tradition, tied for 20th at the Cougar Classic and tied for 25th at the Schooner Fall Classic…carded a 5 under par 67 and was in second place in the individual standings after the first round of the Cougar Classic…scores of 67-67-70 gave her a 1 under par score of 215 and allowed her to finish in a tie for 20th place in the individual standings…was the 21st career top-20 finish of her Seminole career…a 2 under par 70 in the first round and was in a tie for seventh place in the individual standings after the first 18 holes of the Landfall Tradition…a 1 under par 71 and a two round total of 141 had her in a tie for second place after 36 holes in the Landfall Tradition…finished in a tie for 11th place in the individual standings with scores of 70-71-75 for an even par total of 216 in the Landfall Tradition…carded a 74 in the first round of the Schooner Fall Classic…helped the Seminoles to a fifth place standing in the team standings after the first round…a final round score of 67 gave her a 214 total and a tied for 25th place finish at the Schooner Fall Classic…averaged a career low 71.67 strokes in nine rounds during three events.
Earned full Symetra Tour status with her performance at LPGA Qualifying School in October of 2019…finished in a tie for 61st place with scores of 74-71-72-70 for a four round total of 287 in the second stage of Q-School…will finish her career as a Seminole in the spring of 2020 and earn her degree in Sport Management from Florida State on May 1, 2020.
Graduated from The Galloway School in 2016…the State of Georgia 1A private school regional champion and led her team to the 1A team championship in 2016…also won the 2014 1A private school state championship on a one hole playoff and led her team to a fourth place finish in the team standings in 2014…the 1A private schools state championship runner-up and led The Galloway School to a third place finish in the team standings at the state championships in 2013…earned All-State honors in Class 1A by the Georgia High School Golf Coaches Association in 2014…earned Female Athlete of the Week honors by the Northside Neighbor newspaper in May of 2013 and June of 2014…named the Athlete of the Week by the Northside Neighbor in May of 2016.
Born September 16, 1997…Amanda is the daughter of Laura and Mike Doherty…a sister, Hannah, is a freshman tennis player at Centre College in Kentucky…a member of the student association in 2013 at the Galloway School…received the Headmaster’s Letter of Commendation in 2015…plays the guitar and enjoys drawing…chose Florida State over North Carolina and Auburn…major is Sport Management.
