2015-16: Finished third at the SMU Classic in the 100 back with a time of 53.99 which was the sixth fastest time in the NCAA this season.


Led off the 200 medley relay that scored 13th place points in FSU record timing at the NCAA Championships…also swam back in the 400 medley relay…finished eighth in the 100 back at the 2015 ACC Championships with a final time of  53.95 after swimming a 53.17 in prelims…was 18th in prelims in the 100 fly…helped the 200 medley relay to an NCAA ‘A’ time in December at the Georiga Invite…also led off the 400 medley relay with her career best time of 53.02…will swim the backstroke legs of the medleys at NCAA’s.


Attended the NCAA Championships as a relay alternate where she helped the Seminoles set a new school record in the 400 medley relay…contributed to a 14th place finish in the race and garnered All-America honorable mention accolades by leading the relay off with a career best of 53.09…Took fifth place in the 100 back with a career best of 53.37 at the 2014 ACC Championships…placed 10th in the 100 fly with a personal best of 53.75 and added 20th place showing in the 50 free with a 23.20…used her lethal underwater kicks to help the Seminoles to silver in the 200 free relay while setting the school record en route to securing a bid to the NCAA Championships with an `A’ cut…also helped FSU to a sixth place finish in the 200 medley relay where the Noles set a new FSU record and grabbed another NCAA `A’ standard.

2012-2013 :

Placed fourth in her first ACC Championship final in the 100 back en route to setting a new school record of 53.47…added a 15th place finish in the 100 fly at the ACC Championships after swimming her career best time of 54.86…earned a second swim in the 200 back by placing 19th with a mark of 2:02.58 at ACC’s.

High School: 

Was selected as the 2012 Rhode Island High School Swimmer of the Year…earned All-State accolades eight times and MVP honors during all four years while swimming for Narragansett High School…is a six-time state champion in five different events…holds the state record in the 50 free and was an All-American selection in the 100 free…was the New England Senior Champion for women…participated in the summer nationals while representing Bluefish Swim Club in the 100 back.


Born November 3, 1994…daughter of Gianni and Judith Spinazzola…graduated from Narragansett High School in 2012 after being on the honor roll all four years…brother Luca swims for the University of Southern California while her twin sister swims for the University of Rhode Island…older sister Chiara swam at Cornell…is a surfer… a current member of the Bluefish Swim Club…plans to major in Interior Design.
