Placed 15th in the 200 fly at the ACC Championships (2:00.56) after swimming a personal best in prelims of 1:59.67…also competed in the 200 IM (2:05.63) and 400 IM (4:26.36)… was second in the 200 fly (2:04.35) against FAU…scored third place points in the 200 fly (2:03.93) in the win over No. 23 Alabama and Miami…was fifth in the 200 free (1:56.65) against UIW…finished sixth in the 200 fly with a time of 1:59.69 at the GT Invite…also earned a second swim in the 400 IM placing 28th at 4:26.67…placed fifth in the 200 fly (2:03.73) and competed in the 100 fly (57.28) in the win over Arizona State…took fourth in the 200 fly (2:02.10) and was eighth in the 100 fly (58.11) vs. No. 10 Florida…finished second in the 400 IM (4:30.97) at the quad meet after taking third in the 200 free (1:54.08)…was second in the 200 fly (2:03.24) and fifth in the 100 fly (57.93) in the win at No. 13 Minnesota…was the runner-up in the 200 fly (2:03.43) and eighth in the 100 fly (57.96) in the victories over Pitt and GT…represented Hungary at the World University Games in the 200 fly where she made the semifinals and finished in 16th place at 2:16.96.
A bronze medalist in the 200m fly at the inaugural European Games in 2015, Bonecz added an eighth place finish later that summer in the 200m fly at the FINA World Junior Swimming Championships. She repeated that accomplishment in 2017 when the meet was hosted in Indianapolis, Ind. In 2016, she placed fifth at the Arena European Junior Swimming Championships.
Personal: Born April 9, 2000…daughter of Tamás Bonecz and Anikó Boneczné Bakó…swam for the Szeged Swim Club coached by Gabor Gellert and Zsolt Taczi.
