Finished 24th in the 100 back (54.20) and 22nd in the 200 back (1:57.37) at the ACC Championships… anchored the 200 free relay to a sixth place finish…also competed in the 50 free (23.06)…claimed third in the 100 back (54.34) at the Auburn First Chance Invitational…placed second in the 200 back (1:59.10) and tied for first in the 100 back  (54.64) vs. Tampa…was the runner-up in the 200 back (1:58.19) and 100 back (53.96) at Miami…set a new personal best in the 50 free (23.20), placed sixth in the 100 back (54.29), and finished seventh in the 200 back (1:57.39) at the Georgia Tech Invitational…took third in the 200 free relay and fourth in the 50 free (24.55) in a quad meet against FSC, UNF, and UWF…won the 200 medley relay, led the Seminoles’ sweep in the 100 back (55.94), and finished second in the 200 back (2:01.25) against Georgia Tech…earned three third-place finishes against Auburn in the 100 back (55.53), 200 back (2:00.45), and 200 medley relay…began the season with a second place finish in the 200 back (2:01.42) and the fastest time in the 100 back (55.75) at the TYR Fall Classic…selected as team captain for 2022-23…CSCAA Scholar All-America second team…ACC Honor Roll

Finished 11th with a personal-best time in the 200 back (1:55.33), which is the third-fastest time in program history, at the ACC Championships…also finished 16th in the 100 back (53.53) and 44th in the 50 free (23.52)…placed fourth in the 100 back (57.18) and 200 back (2:04.52) vs. Tampa and UNF…was third in the 200 free (1:53.62) against Gardner-Webb…took second in both the 100 back (54.36) and  200 back (2:00.90) vs. No. 19 Auburn…won the 200 back (1:58.09) and 100 back (54.53) vs. RV LSU…finished sixth in both the 100 back (54.72) and in the 200 back (1:58.93) at the Georgia Invite…also competed in the 50 free (23.74)…took home first place in the 200 back (1:57.91) and placed second in the 100 back (54.67) against TCU…placed third in the 100 back (57.29) and fourth in the 200 back (2:05.33) to start the season against Georgia Tech.

2019-20

Tied for 14th in the 100 back (53.42) before swimming a personal best in the 200 back for 13th place at the ACC Championships…was also on the 200 medley relay that took seventh…was the runner up in the 100 back (56.72) and won the 200 back (2:02.24) against FAU and Miami…took second in the 100 back (55.56) and was third in the 200 back (2:00.58) against LSU…added third place points against No. 17 Alabama in the 100 back (55.73) and was second in the 200 back (2:00.39)…placed 17th in the 100 back (54.26) before finishing in eighth in the 200 back (1:56.65) with an NCAA B standard at the GT Invite…took fourth in the 100 back (56.58) and was second in the 200 back (2:02.62) at No. 1 Florida…was third in the 200 back (2:03.23) and second in the 100 back (56.11) in the win at Georgia Tech…tied for second in the 200 back (2:02.71) and finished fourth in the 100 back (56.46) vs. No. 18 Minnesota…placed fourth in the 100 back (56.29) and third in the 200 back (2:02.04) vs. No. 22 Duke…was the runner up in the 200 back (2:02.45)

2018-19

Competed at the NCAA Championships as a relay swimmer in the 200 and 400 medley relays…helped the Seminoles win the bronze medal at the ACC Championships in the 200 medley relay, setting the school record and earning an NCAA A standard…placed 13th in the 100 back (53.60) after swimming a personal best in prelims of 53.21…added a 20th place finish in the 200 back at 1:56.20…competed in the 100 back (55.99) against FAU…finished in fifth place at 56.54 and took fourth in the 200 back (2:02.09) in the win over No. 23 Alabama and Miami…placed eighth in the 100 back (53.87) after swimming a time of 53.82 in prelims at the GT Invite…was 13th in the 200 back (1:56.79) and also competed in the 50 free (23.63)…took fourth in the 100 back (56.66) before taking third in the 200 back (2:01.13) vs. Arizona State…was fifth in both the 100 back (56.01) and 200 back (2:01.85)

High School

McDonald competed at the 2018 Canadian National Championships where she won bronze in the 50m back with a time of 29.04….also competed in the 100m back (1:03.16) and 200m back (2:18.02) finals…. placed fourth in the 100 back at the 2017 Canadian Junior Championships and was also a finalist in the 200 back….was the gold medalist at the 2017 OFSSAA Championships in the 50m free and also took silver in the 100m back and was also a two-time medalist at the 2017 Speedo Eastern Canadian Championships… a two-time Olympic Trials qualifier.

Personal: Born March 31, 2000…daughter of Matthew and Kim McDonald…swam for the Windsor Aquatic Club coached by Mike McWha and Cord Kitson.
