ON STEGMANN

Helped Florida State earn a No. 2 national team ranking during the spring of 2020…gained valuable experience as a freshman and will prove to be a standout at Florida State for the remainder of her career…win 13 matches as a freshman – nine on the doubles courts and four as a singles player…was undefeated in doubles matches (4-0) as a freshman with three wins coming in the fall 2019 season…named to the 2020 ITA Division I Scholar Athlete Team.

SPRING 2020

Undefeated with a 4-0 record – 3-0 in singles play and 1-0 in doubles play to help Florida State rank as high as No. 2 in the nation in the team rankings…singles wins came over Air Force, Florida A&M And Stetson…win her final six sets of the season after losing her first set against Air Force…teams with Alice Amendola to gain her first spring doubles win over Florida A&M.

 

FALL 2019

Totaled a 5-6 record in single play and a perfect 3-0 record in doubles action in her first season as a Seminole…earned a 2-1 record in singles play in the Debbie Southern Fall Classic at Furman University with wins over Ohio State and Vanderbilt…as a 2-1 record in the ITA Southeast Regional Championship in Tallahassee…earned a doubles championship (along with Andrea Garcia) with a 3-0 record and wins over Tulane, Middle Tennessee State Furman in the Florida State All-Conference Showdown in Tallahassee.

BEFORE FLORIDA STATE

Graduated from Max-Reger Gymnasium in 2019…a highly decorated junior career that includes first-place finishes at the 2015 Bavarian Championships and as a part of the 2016 German Masters Juniors team…a second-place finish at the 2017 German Masters juniors doubles competition and the Bundesliga with her club TC Schanzl Amber in 2018…advanced to the semifinals ITF Juniors in 2017…totaled 19 junior ITF wins…has been ranked as a top-10 junior and one of the top-100 women tennis players in Germany.

PERSONAL

Born March 22, 2001…is the daughter of Ute and Udo Stegmann…comes from a tennis family in which her father is her coach…would like to be a teacher after playing professional tennis…major is Sport Management.
