Fifth-year member of the program who made her first NCAA postseason appearance in 2019…ranks No. 9 on FSU’s all-time list in the high jump (outdoors) and No. 10 in the javelin…outstanding student who is a two-time All-ACC Academic selection and four-year member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll…is completing her degree in exercise physiology this spring.
Indoor: competed in only one meet, placing eighth in the high jump at the Bob Pollock Invitational (1.60m/5-3) before her season was halted by injury.
Indoor: Competed in the high jump at four indoor meets, including the ACC Championships…posted her indoor personal-best at the Tiger Paw Invitational with a clearance of 1.69m (5-6.5) to place 12th…was fourth at Orange & Purple Elite and seventh at Bob Pollock Invitational. Outdoor: saw action in six meets, competing in both the high jump and javelin on five occasions…turned in the finest two-event meet of her career at the Tom Jones Memorial, placing third in the javelin (43.72m/143-5) and following up with a personal-best high jump of 1.75m (5-8.75) to finish second…that mark not only qualified her for the NCAA East Preliminary meet for the first time, but earned her a share of No. 9 on FSU’s all-time list outdoors…came up just short of scoring in the high jump at her third consecutive ACC Outdoor Championships, placing 10th on a tie-breaker…finished 26th at the NCAA East meet after entering as the No. 40 seed in the field.
Indoor: Labored through three meets in the high jump without recording a result. Outdoor: Immediately cashed in on her newfound resolve in both the high jump and javelin…recorded javelin personal-bests in four of her first five competitions…major breakthrough in both events came at Seminole Twilight with new personal-bests in both the high jump (1.73m/5-8) and javelin (44.57m/146-3), placing second in both events…those performances earned her ACC Field Performer of the Week honors…securing trips to the ACC Outdoor Championships in both events, proceeded to earn a pair of second-team All-ACC honors…finished fourth in the javelin (44.09m/144-8) and sixth in the high jump (1.64m/5-4.5)…narrowly missed NCAA East Preliminary qualifying in both events.
Indoor: Competed in four meets and was amazingly consistent in the high jump…cleared 1.65 meters (5-5) in each meet…that included a 12th-place finish at the ACC Indoor Championships. Outdoor: Saw action in six meets, five of which she competed in both the high jump and javelin…highlight of the season came at ACC Outdoor Championships where her then-PB of 1.70 meters (5-7) was good for fourth place and second-team All-ACC honors…improved four consecutive competitions in the javelin, capped by her personal best of 37.86m (124’2”) at the Seminole Twilight meet where she finished second…earned All-ACC Academic honors.
Redshirted the indoor and outdoor seasons as a first-year Seminole…did compete at the North Florida Twilight as an unattached athlete, placing seventh in the high jump (1.62m).
Accepted into FSU’s Honors Program her freshman year and been on either the Dean’s List or President’s List (4.0 gpa) every semester…competed in two seasons of track & field and cross country at Freedom High in Tampa…played softball prior to change in sport…capped senior year with a personal-best high jump of 1.68 meters (5-6) in a runner-up finish at the 2015 FHSAA 4A State Championship meet…also won the Hillsborough County high jump title as a senior…in addition to the high jump also competed in the long jump and 400-meter dash….daughter of Mike and Jackie Maczuga…majoring in exercise physiology…born Sept. 18, 1996.
