PERFORMANCE PROFILE

Fifth-year senior who missed entire preseason due to injury…as a redshirt junior transfer from the University of Texas in 2019, saw action in four indoor and five outdoor meets, almost exclusively in the 60- and 100-meter hurdles, respectively…capped year by advancing to the NCAA East Preliminary meet in the 100-meter hurdles.

 

2019

Indoor: Made a splash in her FSU debut with a personal-best of 8.24 to place third in the 60 hurdles at the Orange & Purple Elite…was runner-up two weeks later at the Armory in New York when she ran 8.26 at the Dr. Sander Columbia Challenge…place third at the Clemson Tiger Paw Invitational…was ninth in the 60 hurdles prelims at the ACC Indoor Championships, missing the final by .05 seconds. Outdoor: posted top-eight finishes in each of her first three 100-meter hurdle finals…was third at Crimson Tide Invitational (13.55)…reached Mt. SAC Relays finals where she was sixth in 13.53…ran a windy 13.48 for eighth in the finals at the Tom Jones Memorial…posted her FSU-best of 13.44 at the ACC Outdoor Championship prelims, but was nipped by .10 seconds for the final spot in the finals…did not advance beyond the first round at the NCAA East Preliminary

BEFORE FSU:

2016: As a freshman at Texas advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Championships from the West Preliminary (13.29)…placed sixth in 100 hurdles at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships…competed in 10 outdoor meets, where she also sprinted…ran personal-best of 13.22 to place fourth in the finals of the USATF U20 Championships, which ranks No. 8 in Longhorn history…finished fourth at the Big 12 Indoor Championships in the 60-meter hurdles…posted her collegiate-best at the Tyson Invitational with an 8.28 in the finals to place seventh…member of the USTFCCCA All-Academic team. 2017: Did not compete during the indoor season but saw action outdoors in eight meets…qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 100-meter hurdles with a windy 13.19…placed fifth in the 100 hurdles at the Big 12 Championships…selected to Academic All-Big 12 first team.

PERSONAL:

Enjoyed a decorated high school career, which began in Colorado at Cherry Creek, where she led her team to the state title as a freshman and was a three-time team MVP…won 5A state titles as a junior in the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles…ranked No. 5 nationally in the 100 hurdles as a junior…moved to Florida prior to senior year and claimed 4A state titles in the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles for East Lake in 2015…swept 100 hurdles titles at the Golden South and Great Southwest Classics…went on to finish fifth at USATF Junior Championships…daughter of Felix Kamangirira and Jan Miller…is a social science major at FSU….born Feb. 17, 1998.
