Indoor: Missed the entire season due to lingering injury and academic load. Outdoor: competed twice in the 100-meter dash…ran 12.46 at the Crimson Tide Invitational in mid-April and improved to 12.43 at the Tom Jones Memorial two weeks later.
Indoor: Saw action in two meets…opened up with a promising 7.79 in the 60-meter dash at the Orange & Purple Invitational…suffered a season-ending injury at the finish of the 60-meter prelims while competing at the Razorback Invitational. Outdoor: limited to one meet when she pulled up in the 100-meter dash at the FSU Relays.
Indoor: Appeared in two meets before suffering an injury…debuted with a collegiate-best 7.63 in the 60-meter dash to finish fifth at the Clemson Invitational…suffered injury in the 60-meter finals at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational after running 7.65 in the prelims. Outdoor: Competed in seven meets during the outdoor season, focusing on the 100, but also competing on sprint relays…posted her collegiate-best 100 (12.08) at the Tom Jones Memorial…also contributed to a third-place 4×100 at Tom Jones (45.14)…those efforts came on the heels of a solid sixth-place 100 (12.12) at the Stanford Cardinal Classic.
Enjoyed a breakout senior season at Newsome High, capped by her eighth-place finish in the 100 at the FHSAA state championship meet…qualified individually for her first state meet by running PB 12.06 in 100 for third at region meet, and also helped 4×100 to silver finish…was district champion in 100, 200 and 4×100…three-year member of the National Honor Society as well as the National Science Honor Society…vice president of True Love Waits…is a nursing major at FSU…daughter of Charmaine Leighton-Stewart…born March 27, 1998.
