Senior captain of the women’s sprints group who is coming off her fastest season with the Noles in 2018…established three new personal-bests – 7.28 (60m), 23.02 (200m indoor) and 22.97 (200m outdoor) – last season…one of only two Noles ranked among FSU top 10 in 60 and 200 indoors and 100 and 200 outdoors…outstanding student who is fixture on All-ACC Academic and USTFCCCA All-Academic teams.
Indoor: Earned second-team All-American honors after finishing 12th at the NCAA Indoor Championships; her first NCAA Championship individual event appearance…contributed 13 points to the Noles’ ACC Indoor team title with runner-up finish in the 200 (23.02) and PB fourth-place 60 finish…set the FSU indoor 200 record at the Razorback Invitational (23.20), which was later broken by her teammate Ka’Tia Seymour. Outdoor: Earned first-team All-American honors as a member of the 8th-place 4×100…teamed with Jayla Kirkland, Cortney Jones and Seymour to run 43.33 in NCAA Outdoor prelims, which is the No. 3 time in school history…matched her 100m PB (11.26) at the NCAA East Preliminary…was the ACC Outdoor runner-up in the 100 (11.27) to Seymour…opened outdoor season with PB 22.97 at the FSU Relays.
Indoor: Placed fifth in the ACC Championship in the 60m dash with a time of 7.37 which is No. 6 in FSU history… fourth-place finisher at the ACC Championship in the 200 (23.61)…finished third in the 200m with a time of 23.56 at the Tyson Invitational to reach a number five overall indoor time in school hiistory. Outdoor: First place finisher in the ACC Championship at the 100m with a time of 11.26 which established a new conference championship meet record and equaled the fastest time in ACC history…moved to No. 3 in the 100 in Florida State history… bronze medalist in the ACC Championship in the 200m with a time of 23.27…. both times qualified her for the NCAA East Preliminary…ran a collegiate best time of 23.06 in the 200m at the Florida Relays for a third place finish and the No. 8 time in program history.
Indoor: Advanced to the ACC 60-meter dash finals with PB 7.45, which ranks No. 10 all-time among Noles…her indoor PB of 24.27 came at Tyson Invitational. Outdoor: Provided great stick work and strong second leg as Noles locked down NCAA berth at East Preliminary with SB 44.65 in 4×100…individual highlight of season came on final day of ACC Championships when she ran down the field to win the 100-meter title in 11.68…her SB 100 came in ACC prelims (11.62)…was fixture on 4×100 throughout the season, always handling the second leg…placed eighth in 200 at Florida Relays in a PB of 23.94.
Won ISSA Girls Championship 100-meter titles in 2010, 2011, 2012…set ISSA meet record in 100 (11.50) in 2012; also holds 200 dash personal-best of 24.20…was the 2012 CARIFTA Games 100-meter dash champion…silver medalist at 2014 ISSA Championships in 200…daughter of Charmaine and Hugh Helps…attended Wolmers High School for Girls…outstanding student who is completing her degree in exercise physiology…born October 23, 1996.
