TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – No. 1 Florida State (9-0, 7-0 ACC) practiced
for about an hour this evening after reviewing film from the Virginia
game. With an open week ahead of them, the team had Sunday and Monday
off before today’s workout.
“It got cold on us out here,” said head coach Bobby Bowden.
“This open date will be good for us to get some of our guys healthy
again. We will try to have three good days of work and maintain our
conditioning. I’ll give them Friday and Saturday off and we’ll run on
Bowden also announced that junior cornerback Tay Cody would
return for next week’s game against Maryland. Cody served a one-game
suspension against Virginia.
“Tay Cody will be reinstated for the next ball game,” said
Bowden. “We should have everyone back.”
Bowden and the coaching staff had a chance to review Virginia
film before meeting with the players this afternoon.
“You go back and look at the film and the kids played pretty
good,” said Bowden. “Without the four turnovers it might have been a
different game. Continuing to improve is the key down the stretch.”
No new injuries were reported after today’s session.
The team will return to practice tomorrow afternoon.
