TALLAHASSEE, FL– No. 4 Florida State (10-1) continued preparation for
their Sugar Bowl matchup against No. 9 Ohio State (10-2) with an 18-period
practice this afternoon. The team worked out in shells and finished the
session with agilities and conditioning.
“We had a pretty good practice today,” said head coach Bobby Bowden.
“The team has responded well mentally. I’ve seen some enthusiasm out
there. So far, we have had perfect weather and everything has gone
well.” Bowden spent yesterday in New Orleans as he attended a Sugar Bowl
press conference with Ohio State coach John Cooper.
“I was over in New Orleans yesterday and there were a lot of questions
about Travis Minor,” said Bowden. “It reminds you of Warrick Dunn. When
Warrick was a freshman, we went back home and won Sugar Bowl MVP.”
The lone injury of the afternoon was WR Marvin Minnis’ right ankle
sprain. Minnis was able to return to practice.
