Florida State Men’s Golf Finishes in Eighth Place

BATON ROUGE, LA — The Florida State men’s golf team finished the Country Club of Louisiana in eighth place after the final round in Baton Rouge, LA.

The Seminole team score of 889 was four strokes behind host Louisiana State.

The Seminoles were led by George McNeill. McNeill finished the day with a three-round total of 219, placing tied for 12th with four other golfers. Jason Pool used a final-round 73 to finish tied for 20th.

Barry Dyche posted a three-day total of 225 to place him tied for 34th. Craig Cochran and Mark Monroe rounded out the scoring for the Seminoles, finishing tied for 47th and 49th, respectively.

This tournament marked the end of the fall season for the Seminoles. The Tribe will return to play in late February.
