Track and Field Teams Compete in ACC/SEC Challenge

Mullings records collegiate best marks.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The ACC men and women fell to the SEC Saturday at the annual
ACC/SEC Challenge, by scores of 264-199 and 277-187, respectively. Leading the
way for the Lady Seminoles was sophomore Zuzette Mullings as she took second in
the long and triple jumps.

Mullings recorded collegiate best marks of 20-0.50
in the long jump and 41-1.75 in the triple jump. Both are NCAA Indoor
provisional qualifying jumps.

All-American Rikke Ronholt in the 800m, with an NCAA provisional time of

The top finishers for the FSU men were Danny Smith in the 800m and
Aaron Scheer in the 3K. Smith, a junior from Orlando, ran 1:52.75 and finished
fourth while Scheer, FSU’s top cross country runner in the fall, was fourth with
a time of 8:34.95.

Both teams continue the indoor season next weekend as they
return to Gainesville for the Barnett Bank Invitational (February 7).
