TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Chasity Melvin scored 16 points as seventh-ranked North Carolina
State defeated Florida State, 72-62, to move into a first-place
tie with Clemson and Duke in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

LySchale Jones and Peace Shepard added 14 points apiece for the
Wolfpack (16-3, 7-2 ACC), who snapped a two-game losing streak
and completed a season sweep of the Lady Seminoles. North
Carolina State beat Florida State, 72-60, in Greensboro on
December 3rd.

After settling for a 34-34 halftime tie, North Carolina State
pulled away in the second half by shooting 64 percent (18-of-28)
from the field. The Wolfpack finished at 52 percent (33-of-63)
for the game, despite missing all five of their three-pointers.

Latavia Coleman contributed 19 points for Florida State (7-12,
3-6), which has split its last six games. The Lady Seminoles
shot only 42 percent (25-of-60).
