Alicea Taylor-Meza enters her third season with the Seminole football program. She joined the Florida State Sports Medicine department in July of 2020 as an intern with the football program before transitioning into her current role as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in 2021. She also serves as the co-clinical oversight of the FSU Athletic Training Student Sub-plan managing the immersion of undergraduate students within athletics and recreational sports.  

Before arriving in Tallahassee, Taylor-Meza earned her Master’s degree in Health and Human Performance from Oklahoma State University in 2020. While at Oklahoma State University she managed the healthcare of the cheer and dance teams while providing secondary coverage to women’s and men’s basketball, and wrestling.  

A native of El Paso, Texas, Taylor-Meza earned her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of Texas at Austin.  

She is board certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), and she is licensed to practice in Florida and Oklahoma
