Antonio Rodriguez

Antonio Rodriguez is in his first season as a graduate assistant on defense for Florida State after joining the staff in January of 2022.

Rodriguez spent the prior four seasons with the FIU program, first as a student assistant and then as a graduate assistant working with the linebackers and special teams. He helped the Panthers advance to two bowl games with a win in the 2018 Bahamas Bowl to complete a 9-4 campaign.

He was the junior varsity head coach and varsity offensive line coach and special teams coordinator at Goleman Senior High School in the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Goleman’s varsity squad averaged 27.3 points per game while winning six games in 2016, and the 2017 team averaged 12.6 yards per punt return. The 2017 junior varsity squad finished its season 3-1.

Rodriguez earned his bachelor’s degree in sports management from FIU in 2020.
