Assistant Athletic Trainer; Women’s Basketball
  • Bria Adams begins her first season as Assistant Athletic Trainer for Florida State Women’s Basketball in the 2020-21 year.
  • The experienced athletic trainer comes to Tallahassee following two years at South Carolina State where she was the primary trainer for the women’s basketball team and the tennis team.
  • Adams is a critical part to the FSU Women’s Basketball program, providing and incorporating her expertise for injury prevention and recovery.
  • While at South Carolina State, she was responsible for student-athlete injury management, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention; much of what will be the same at FSU.
  • She has been successful in designing and implement individualized plans that cater to each student-athlete’s best performance.
  • Prior to her time at South Carolina State, Adams was a rehabilitation specialist and graduate assistant at Texas State where she assisted with the football and women’s basketball teams.
  • Adams has also spent time as an athletic training student at both San Diego State (2014-15) and UC-San Diego (2015-16).
  • She is a certified National Academy of Sports Medicine-Corrective Exercise Specialist.
  • Adams is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and a licensed trainer in both the state of Florida and South Carolina.
  • She earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training at San Diego State in May 2016, and graduated from Texas State with her Master of Science in Athletic Training in May 2018.
