
Darrion Jones is in his third season at Florida State in 2022, serving as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Seminoles.
He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and also is EXOS-XPS certified and ACE certified.
Jones joined the Seminoles from University of the Incarnate Word. There, he was an assistant strength coach working with football, men’s and women’s golf and synchronized swimming. In addition to developing and implementing strength programs, he worked on rehabilitation of injured athletes as well as providing nutrition guidance to teams.
He began his strength coaching career as an intern at Northern Arizona, where he assisted the training staff with daily functions and instructed student-athletes on proper lifting techniques. He also was a strength and conditioning intern at EXOS, where he created personal training programs and monitored progress for specific goals while also conducting seminars and workshops for athletes.
Jones played defensive end at Washington, where he was a three-year letterman and two-year starter. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Washington in 2010 and earned a bachelor’s degree in fitness and wellness from Northern Arizona in 2019.
