In March 2016, Damont Singleton joined the Athletic Business Office as Coordinator of the Athletics Mailroom. Before becoming a member of Florida State Athletics he was an employee of Target for seven and a half years. There he held several positions such as Electronics Quality Assurance Specialist, Pricing Accuracy Trainer, and Guest Service & Cash Office Supervisor. His last role he served in was Team Leader of Logistics while at Target.
Singleton co-founded and ran his very own non-profit designed for the betterment of at risk youth. He held the position of Chief of Operations Officer where he focused on external operations, along with other duties such as graphic design and expense reports, to name a few.
Singleton attended Florida A&M University where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Communications Management with minors in Business and Graphic Design. During this time period he held positions as Parliamentarian and Trustee of the Graphic Arts Club. He entered school once again at Florida A&M University where he then acquired his Master’s in Public Administration in 2013. While obtaining his Master’s Degree, Singleton gained tremendous knowledge and experience as an intern with P&A Strategies LLC as a data & research analyzer assigned as the lead for the development of an impoverished Tallahassee community.
A native of Deland, Florida, Singleton grew up an active member of the West Volusia YMCA Black Achievers Program that dealt with the empowerment of adolescents via forward-thinking workshops and community service. He also has been a long time member of the NAACP.
