Drew Longenecker is the Director of Marketing for the Florida State Athletics Department. His responsibilities include the marketing and advertising of the 2012 ACC Champion Men’s Basketball program as well as oversight of the Volleyball, Softball, and Olympic sports programs. Longenecker was promoted his current position in the summer of 2009.
In addition to his current responsibilities, Longenecker was instrumental in launching the FSU Kid’s Club in 2009, which has enjoyed great success in the past three seasons. In addition, he helped found the Friday Night Block Party in downtown Tallahassee, which has drawn national headliners such as Jake Owen, Lee Brice, and others during his tenure.
Longenecker is also a key liaison with IMG College, Florida State’s multimedia rights holder. His projects include football game programs, bowl guides, call-in shows, and other sponsorship fulfillments.
Longenecker previously served one year as Marketing Assistant in 2008. Prior to IMG, he interned in the sports marketing department as an undergraduate at Florida State from 2005-2008. He graduated with a B.S. in marketing in 2008 and received his M.A. in Sport Administration in 2010.
