
Jackie Atwater is in her second year at Florida State University. She was previously the Olympic Sports Nutrition Fellow at FSU before being promoted to the Assistant Performance Dietitian.
Atwater received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Elon University and her master’s degree in Nutrition from Boston University. She is a board-certified Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian.
As the Olympic Sports Nutrition Fellow at FSU, Jackie worked with the softball, women’s tennis, indoor volleyball, men’s and women’s golf, and men’s and women’s track & field teams. She assisted the softball team to a National Runner Up title at the Women’s College World Series in 2021.
In her current role, Atwater provides nutritional services to student athletes in order to ensure optimal performance in their sport, at the highest level. She works with an interdisciplinary team of athletic trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, psychologists, and team coaches to provide individualized nutrition care to her assigned teams. Atwater’s assigned teams include softball, beach volleyball, indoor volleyball, men’s and women’s cross country, and men’s and women’s tennis teams.
Atwater is originally from Hamilton, NJ and currently resides in Tallahassee.
